Genesee Polymers' GP-670 SILICONE RESIN SOLUTION is an Ethyl Alcohol -based solution of Methyl Silicone Resin. The resin forms a solid release coating when GP-670 SILICONE RESIN SOLUTION is applied to substrates and solvent is allowed to evaporate. Film formation occurs at room temperature and results in a durable, weather resistant, non-stick surface after solvent evaporation, which normally occurs within a few minutes.Best performance is attained when GP-670 is applied to substrates by spraying, making sure that a wet continuous film covers the substrate, followed by allowing the carrier solvent to evaporate. Some additional improvement in durability will occur, in mold release applications when the treated mold is heated to 80 -100C, for one hour prior to beginning molding operation.GP-670 SILICONE RESIN SOLUTION is suggested for use in a variety of applications, including masonry water repellents, leather and fabric treating agents, mold release formulations and as a binder for high temperature application paints and coatings

Genesee Polymers' GP-226 SILICONE POLYOL COPOLYMER is a 100% active polyoxyethylene modified dimethylpolysiloxane block copolymer.GP-226 is water-dispersible and resistantto breakdown by hydrolysis due to the presence of stable ≡ Si –C ≡ bonds between silicone and polyol block sections. GP-226 SILICONE POLYOL COPOLYMER is recommended for use as a wetting agent oremulsifier in water-based coatings, inks, polishes and hard surface cleaners. Additionally, GP-226 may be used as a dispersing agent for the incorporation of clays, pigments and other powders in water.

Genesee Polymers' GP-596 is a 28% active epoxy functional silicone polymer in solution. The epoxy functionality in GP-596 allows for rapid cross-linking with standard amine curing agents. Selecting the proper curing agent is dependent on application techniques, pot life requirements, cure conditions and physical properties needed.Cured coatings formed from GP-596exhibit greater elongation, higher impact resistance and more flexibility, than coatings formed from standard bisphenol A type resins. This increased flexibility allows for greater adhesion to coated surfaces, resulting in improved durability.In addition to the tough coating properties of GP-596, the presence of the unique silicone-epoxy copolymer imparts non-stick and rust inhibiting characteristics as well. This strongly suggests applications involving protection of ferrous and nonferrous metals exposed to extreme abrasion conditions, or corrosive atmospheres.GP-596may be formulated with pigments, thickeners, dispersants and other additives as needed to yield finished coatings. The technology of formulating is closely related to standard epoxy resin coatings applications.
