When combined with aliphatic solvents, such as mineral spirits, GP-58 forms a dry, colorless film on substrates. This film is stable and will not break down in the presence of water. The lack of any dimethyl silicone removes the problems of orange peel, fisheyes, or similar effects normally associated with dimethyl silicone.
