Packaging & Availability
- Packaging and Storing
Packaging
10 kg plastic pails; 200 Kg drums.
Storing
Polyisocyanates react with water, including atmospheric moisture, with formation of carbon dioxide, which can cause too high pressures in closed containers and form solid insoluble polyureas, which can block pipes, valves, etc. CURING AGENT W9 must be stored in well closed original plastic drums or aluminum/glass bottles, at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C. At higher temperatures it can develop hazardous vapors. Opened drums must be protected from moisture penetration (use silica gel drying tube or nitrogen atmosphere systems). In original drums shelf life is at least 6 months, with a slight increase of viscosity.
Storage & Handling
- Shelf Life
- 6 Months
- Handling
CURING AGENT W9 can be added directly to the dispersions, just before final application.
The quantity of CURING AGENT W9 depends on the product that has to be cured and on the desired final effect, suggested quantity is 0,5-1,8% Pot life of compound depends on the total solid and on the temperature (it is between 4 and 8 hours). We suggest a preliminary lab test to verify pot-life, heat stability and behavior of the mixture.
