ITPSA Food Oxicap

ITPSA Food Oxicap is a range of antioxidant products, combining the effects of antioxidants of well-known activity (ethoxyquin, BHT, etc.) with synergic compounds and chelating agents, which inhibit the catalyzing action of metallic ions in the formation of free radicals, thus potentiating its antioxidant effect. Its application in all type of feeds and feed ingredients ensures the stability of its fat components as well as the vitamins and pigments they contain.

Applications & Uses

Process

The main purpose using antioxidants in feed and raw materials is to retard the oxidation process and prevent rancidity of fats and oils. These processes reduce the final quality of the feed, as well as its shelf life. To address these issues, the range of OXICAP antioxidants developed by ITPSA provides effective protection to these raw material and compound feed. OXICAP increases resistance to oxidation in these products and avoids its negative consequences on feed nutritional value and other harmful effects.

Dosage

Solid Form:

  • Feedstuffs: 125 - 250 g/Mt
  • Premixes: 250 - 500 g/Mt
  • Fats and products from animal origin: 400 - 1000 g/Mt

Liquid Form:

  • Feedstuffs: 125 - 350 g/Mt
  • Animal by-products: 200 - 500 g/Mt
  • Fats and oils: 200 - 750 g/Mt

Properties

Solid Form: Synergistic mixtures of antioxidants (Ethoxyquin, BHT, BHA, Propyl Gallate, Phosphoric Acid, Citric Acid) in a mineral carrier. Homogeneous and wide diffusion in the raw material to be treated (feedstuffs, mineral premixes and animal by-products).

Liquid Form: Combinations of active compounds with high antioxidant efficacy (Ethoxyquin, BHT and BHA) with synergistic substances (Citric and Phosphoric Acid) using a vegetable oil carrier with surfactant properties. Adequate diffusion in the material to be treated especially on fats and oils.
