Key Resin Key #801 Acrylic Sealer

Key #801 Acrylic Sealer is a clear acrylic solution formulated to create a clear, non-yellowing protective coating. KEY #801 provides a tough, UV and abrasion resistant film that protects surfaces from moisture penetration, staining, dirt, dust, and wear. KEY #801 is an excellent choice for both interior and exterior applications. KEY #801 is most commonly used as a sealer for KEY EPOXY TERRAZZO flooring system. It is also used for sealing old and new concrete floors, exterior ramps, decks, sidewalks, slate, and exposed aggregate surfaces.

Key Considerations
  • Contains solvent, must be applied with properventilation
  • Substrate temperature must be a minimum of 50ºF
  • Substrate must be free of dirt, waxes, curing agents, and other foreign materials
Application

Surface Preparation

Surface Preparation is the most critical portion to any successful resinous flooring system application. All substrates must be properly prepared as outlined in Key Resin Technical Bulletin #1. Work must be performed by trained or experienced contractors or maintenance personnel.

Mixing Instructions

Apply KEY #801 using a roller, brush, or lambs wool/microfiber applicator. Care should be taken to minimize the entrapment of air caused by over-rolling. Two coats are recommended for sealing applications.

Clean Up

Clean skin with soap and water. Tools and equipment should be cleaned with xylene or lacquer thinner.

Maintenance

After completing the application of KEY #625, the installer should provide the owner with maintenance instructions. KEY #625 is easily cleaned with neutral soaps or detergents.
