Optilith™ AM A is an anti-mist compound. Optilith AM A is a 95% non-volatile, high solids paste. Optilith AM A gives maximum reduction in misting without adversely effecting gloss or ink rheology. Optilith AM A is effective at 0.5 to 3% use levels.

Optilith™ TRG A quickly reduces the initial tack without “destroying” the rheological properties of ink. Additionally, it flattens the tack curve through added solubility, providing greater tack stability and improved transfer. Optilith TRG A can be used in all oil based offset inks including heatset, sheetfed, web no-heat and other specialty lines.

Setaprint™ 7502 A is a high viscosity, high molecular weight phenolic modified rosin resin exhibiting a high tolerance for low KB ink oils. The high viscosity of Setaprint 7502 A improves lithographic performance when modifying less soluble resin systems. A unique blend of viscosity and aliphatic solubility, combined with excellent compatibility with drying oils makes Setaprint 7502 A ideal for high speed, high performance ink vehicles.

Filtrez™ 629 A is a medium viscosity phenolic modified rosin ester with low solubility in aliphatic solvents. Filtrez 629 A is designed as a workhorse resin which exhibits good gel reactivity with aluminum chelating agents. This resin is a good backbone resin for sheetfed and heatset applications.

Filtrez™ 618 A is a low viscosity phenolic modified rosin ester with high solubility in both aliphatic and vegetable oils. Filtrez 618 A is designed to provide excellent pigment wetting properties. This resin is used primarily in grinding and flushing vehicles.

Terlon™ 1143 A alkyd is known for its excellent pigment wetting ability and fast hard-drying properties. This alkyd is an essential ingredient in many oil-based printing inks. Terlon 1143 A aids in development and maintenance of color strength with minimal bronzing and provides flow and leveling where required. Terlon 1143 A is an important formulating tool. Terlon 1143 A is also very compatible with most ink vehicles and serves to stabilize ink formulations. Metal decorating inks based on this alkyd bake very fast and form hard abrasion resistant, glossy surfaces

Filtrez™ 681 A is a high molecular weight phenolic modified rosin ester with excellent solubility in aliphatic solvents. Filtrez 681 A is an elastic co-resin designed to assist in adding compatibility while maintaining structure to most lithographic systems. This resin provides good pigment wetting properties to compliment other resins for dry grinding and flushing applications.

Optirub™ PC A is a finely micronized, polyethylene and carnauba blend processed to an 8 micron average particle size. Optirub PC A is recommended for applications where gloss retention, clarity, or inter-coat adhesion is important. In addition, Optirub PC A provides an excellent combination of slip, wet scuff, mar and block resistance. Optirub PC A is not recommended for recoating, imprinting, gluing, and die-stamping applications. Recommended usage level is 1 to 3%.

Optilith 3 A is a Lawter™ water fighter compound. Optilith 3 A is a free flow, resinated solution for ease of pumping and dispersing. Optilith 3 A effectively reduces water pick-up in lithographic inks at 0.5 to 2% usage levels. It is functional across a broad range of fountain solutions and can be added during formulation or as a press-side additive.

ECO-REZ™ 9720 is Low structured rosin resin suitable for all offset inks, including heatset, sheetfed and coldset applications.

Setaprint™ 2121 A is a high viscosity phenolic modified resin with good aliphatic solubility. This backbone resin can provide fast solvent release, high gloss and superior holdout properties. Setaprint 2121 A has good gel response to aluminum chelates in most printing ink systems. Setaprint 2121 A is specially formulated to be free of bisphenol A

Setaprint™ 2244 A is a relatively low solubility, high viscosity resin which exhibits excellent solvent release for fast setting and good holdout. Setaprint 2244 A has excellent compatibility with drying oils and gives varnishes a hard, scuff resistant surface. Setaprint 2244 A is specially formulated to be free of bisphenol A.

Trionol™ 1739 A is a Lawter™ specialty alkyd. Trionol 1739 A is a medium oil-length soya oil alkyd that forms hard, tough ink films with low odor. It has better compatibility with hard resins than Terlon 7 A and is recommended for low odor inks used on napkins, food cartons, etc. Trionol 1739 A is an excellent replacement for linseed alkyds in heatset inks whenever it is cost effective to do so. Trionol 1739 A is recommended for three-piece flat metal decorating lithography. It has good baking properties on metal with good color retention at oven temperatures up to 370°F. Faster baking can be achieved by adding up to 10% melamine to finished inks based in Trionol 1739 A. Trionol 1739 A avoids the gloss ghosting or yellow ghosting that sometimes occurs in sheetfed inks.

Terlon™ 1147 A is a Lawter™ linseed alkyd. Terlon 1147 A alkyd is known for its excellent pigment wetting ability and fast hard-drying properties. Terlon 1147 A alkyd is an essential ingredient in many oil-based printing inks. This alkyd’s ability to develop and maintain color strength with minimal bronzing and provide flow and leveling where required make Terlon 1147 A an important formulating tool. Terlon 1147 A is very compatible with most ink vehicles and serves to stabilize ink formulations that do not hold up on long runs. Metal decorating inks based on this alkyd bake very fast and form hard abrasion-resistant, glossy surfaces.

Optilith™ 1486 A is an easy-to-disperse, low viscosity solution. Optilith 1486 A maximizes “stay open” time in sheetfed and heatset inks with minimum effect on drying time. Recommended usage of Optilith 1486 A in lithographic inks is 0.7-1.5%.

Filtrez™ 672 A is a high viscosity phenolic modified rosin ester with good solubility in aliphatic solvents. Filtrez 672 A is designed as an elastic resin exhibiting gel structure without the use of additional chelates. This resin can serve as a good foundation for building sheetfed and heatset systems, especially in high shear and high temperature applications.

ECO-REZ™ 9710 A is a low structured rosin resin suitable for all offset inks, including heatset, sheetfed and cold set applications. The primary purpose of this resin is to provide good pigment wetting capability. The technical benefits equal the environmental enhancements. This new family of ECO-REZ products provides outstanding rheological stability, water balance stability, and sharp print image during high speed and long press runs. This family of resin contains > 78% renewable content.

Filtrez 656 A is designed as an elastic resin exhibiting gel structure without the use of additional chelates. This resin can serve as a good foundation for building sheetfed and heatset systems, especially in high shear and high temperature applications.

Alpha-Rez™ 9200 E is a structured visco-elastic Hydrocarbon- / Rosin-based Hybrid Resin. Alpha-Rez™ 9200 E exhibits a high viscosity and high solubility. Alpha-Rez™ 9200 E based inks give very high gloss and fast setting. Alpha-Rez™ 9200 E exhibits a high stability of rheology under high shear conditions. Eco-Rez™ 468 A is a Lawter™ rosin ester. Eco-Rez 468 A is a medium viscosity rosin ester exhibiting a limited tolerance to ink oils. This characteristic produces ink vehicles with faster set speeds. Eco-Rez 468 A provides the necessary viscosity, set speed, and gloss for an ink vehicle application. This ester also yields high gloss and good rub resistance, making Eco-Rez 468 A ideal for overprint varnishes.
