Katrafay is a medium size tree (max 15m) endemic from Madagascar. It grows in the dry and dense forests of the south west region of the country. Its essential oil is produced after distillation of the bark. As for the Cinnamon essential oil we use non-destructive harvesting methods which consist in peeling-off the bark on one side of the tree that allows a full recovery. Using this method protects the ecosystem while producing a better quality of essential oil (the bigger the tree the better the essential oil). The yield of Katrafay is very low (0.4%-0.6%). Katrafay essential oil is rich in sesquiterpene which gives it a wide range of actions including analgesic (active against most types of pain), strong cellular regenerative properties (burn, sting, exzema,...) and help fight tiredness while promoting a good general health
