- Helichrysum oil is extracted from the Helichrysum italicum plant that mainly grows in European regions of France, Spain and Italy. This plant belongs to the Asteraceae family. The oil is watery and its color is pale yellow although the color may range from pale yellow to red. Besides having a tea and honey undertone, Helichrysum Oil has a characteristic straw-like fruity aroma. Extracted by steam distillation method from dried or fresh flowering head clusters of the Helichrysum plant, this oil is also known as Everlasting Oil. Helichrysum oil is mainly used as an ingredient in massage oils, creams and lotions. It can be used for vapor therapy or during warm baths to cure muscle aches and inflammation; problems relating to digestion and respiration and headache. It also has soothing and calming properties which helps to cure depression. Athletes and bodybuilders widely use essential oils containing Helichrysum oil as it is highly effective in treating muscle inflammations due to hectic physical activities. This oil can be used on children as it is suitable for sensitive skin.

- Helichrysum oil is used for muscular aches and pains, abscesses, acne, boils, bronchial congestion, burns, cuts, dermatitis, eczema, irritated skin, wounds, nervous exhaustion and stress. It is mainly used in massage oils, creams and lotions.
