Eucalyptus Kochii, formally known as Eucalyptus Horistes or commonly as Eucalyptus West Australian Mallee, is a species of mallee and is endemic to Western Australia. Eucalyptus Kochii typically grows to a height of 8 m (26 ft), rarely a tree to 12 m (39 ft), and forms a lignotuber. It has rough, flaky or fibrous, light gray to brown bark on the trunk and larger branches, smooth gray to pink bark on the thinner branches. The leaves of the Eucalyptus Kochii have a natural 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol) content of 90 – 95% the highest 1,8-cineole level of all the Eucalyptus’s and there are over 800 species of Eucalyptus’. It is an energizing oil with a crisp and fresh aroma. Conventional or certified organic available Marula oil is derived from the Sclerocaya birreabotanicals, better known as the Marula Tree. The Marula Tree which is found in the woodland areas of Southern parts of Africa grows up to 18m tall. The oil is clear, pale, yellow-brown in color and has a pleasant nutty aroma. It is medium rich and silky to the touch. Marula oil contains antioxidants, vitamin C and E, and Omega-9 fatty acids. The generic name (Sclerocarya) is believed to have come from Greek (Sclerocarya) for hard (skleros) and nut (karyon). The Oil is expressed from the sundried nuts from the Yellow fruit of the Marula Tree which is available from December through to April. Marula Oil is rich in oleic acid giving it a very good oxidative stability making it ideal for anti-aging products. It is also highly moisturizing for the skin and hair and is easily absorbed. The fruits of the marula tree are used to make marula beer and a liqueur called Amarula. In South Africa, the tree is protected by law so it is a common sight to see a free-standing tree in a cultivated field. Traditional marriages take place under a Marula Fruit Tree as it is considered a symbol of fertility and a good omen.

Conventional or organic available Lemon Scented Tea Tree is a tall evergreen shrub to small tree, growing to a maximum of 5 meters that is fast growing and drought hardy. It naturally occurs near sclerophyll forest or rainforest, on sandy or rocky escarpments, on the east coast of Australia. It has simple leaves, 20–40 mm long, with a distinctive lemony aroma. The flowers are white, followed by woody capsules. Lemon Scented Tea Tree Oil has medicinal properties similar to Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) as an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and antiseptic. Its high citral content gives it a nice lemon scent. It also contains Citronellal, Citronellol and Geraniol making it an effective insect repellant. Its potency and pleasant scent makes this native plant a great essential oil in aromatherapy. But because of its high potency, only tiny amounts are necessary. The oil is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs and is a clear colorless to yellow liquid .

Conventional or organic available Lime is indigenous to Southeast Asia, in the Indo-Malaya. The plant was introduced into Asia and Egypt by the merchants of the Middle East in the tenth century. From Saudi Arabia, it was introduced to Africa and reached Europe through the Spanish invaders, in the thirteenth century Christopher Columbus took Limes to America. The British Sailors used Lime to prevent Scurvy. The Early Settlers introduced Lime to Australia in the 19th Century. Lime oil is extracted from the fresh fruit peel by cold expression. Blends well with Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Geranium, Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon, Mandarin, Neroli, Sweet Orange, Rosemary, Rosewood, Tangerine and Ylang-Ylang.

The Rose comes originally from Asia Minor, it is cultivated mostly in Bulgaria, Iran and India. The Rose was valued by the Arab physician Avicenna (AD 980-1037), during the Middle Ages and during the Renaissance as a remedy for depression. One of the most prized aromatherapy oils, it takes up to 30 roses to produce just one drop of Rose oil. Rose has a beautiful, strong floral and sweet fragrance that is intoxicating and highly romantic. It's said to help bring balance and harmony with stimulating and uplifting properties that create a sense of well-being and self-confidence. It has been used for skincare for thousands of years Rose Oil Rosa damascena is known as the Queen of Oils, Rose oil is highly sought after for its aroma and powerful topical and emotional benefits. The blooming floral aroma is comforting and Rose oil, used topically, helps promote healthy-looking skin.

Conventional or organic available Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) , also known as goat nut, deer nut, pignut, wild hazel, quinine nut, coffeeberry, and gray box bush, is native to South-western North America. The plant came to prominence in the late 1970s when scientists found that the liquid wax from the jojoba bean has a strikingly similar structure to the natural wax esters in human skin. The CSIRO introduced the plant to Australia in 1978 and selectively bred certain varieties especially suited to Australian conditions. Commercial plantations are now established across the country, including at Kalannie, Wagin, Geraldton and York in Western Australia. A shrubby bush which usually grows between 3-6 feet, though occasionally taller, the leaves are up to 1 ½” long, thick with a waxy gray-green coloration. The flowers are small with a green-yellow color and contain no petals. The plant is usually dioecious, either male or female, with both sexes needed to produce the fruit. Occasionally there are hermaphrodite plants but this is rare. The plants can live between 100-200 years. While often solitary in growth, jojoba’s can produce ground based shoots and form into thickets.

This precious absolute is made by solvent extraction of the flowers of the Hyacinthus orientalis, a small, herbaceous perennial plant, that flowers in early spring. The bell shaped flowers can be pink, purple to white and the plant is primarily native to the Mediterranean region and tropical Africa. The absolute is extremely precious due to the limited cultivation window of the flowers, and the low yield per flower. Hyacinth Absolute is a valuable ingredient in the perfume industry, and as a fragrant component in products. This refreshing and invigorating absolute also has antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory properties and is considered calming, balancing and comforting.

Conventional or organic available A thick carrier oil, rich in Vitamin E and fatty acids, Castor Oil is cold pressed from the bean/seeds from the castor plant naturally found in Africa, India and South America. This soothing, versatile, multi-purpose vegetable oil is pale yellow in color with a mild odor. A gentle oil, it has valuable moisturizing properties and is useful in skin care and hair care products.

The almond is a small bushy deciduous tree with beautiful pink blossoms and highly prized edible nuts enclosed in a hard green hull. It’s a small to medium sized tree with a spreading, open canopy, usually 10-15 feet in commercial orchards. It is an excellent, self-pollinating almond that bears heavy crops of soft-shelled almonds with a good, sweet flavor. The kernels are broad, full and oval in shape. The tree has an upright form that is a self-pollinating papershell. Almonds require a climate with dry summer/autumns and cool winters. Almond and related species are native to the Mediterranean climate region of the Middle East. The original plantings and beginning of the almond industry in Australia occurred in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. The industry expanded into the South Australian Riverland in the 1960s and then along the Murray River in the 1970s. The Australian almond industry is concentrated in NSW, SA and Victoria with almost 29,000 ha of cultivated almond trees.

Conventional or organic available Juniper Berry Oil has a well-liked refreshing, yet warm and subtle balsamic aroma with many therapeutic benefits. Juniper berries themselves are high in flavonoid and polyphenol antioxidants that have strong free radical scavenging abilities. Because they were seen as protectors of health — both emotional and physical health — during the Medieval period, juniper berries were believed to help ward off witches. In fact, for years French hospital wards burned juniper and rosemary to help protect patients against lingering bacteria and infections. A juniper berry is the female seed cone produced by the various species of junipers. It is not a true berry but a cone with unusually fleshy and merged scales, which gives it a berry-like appearance. The cones from a handful of species, especially Juniperus communis, are used as a spice, particularly in European cuisine, and also give gin its distinctive flavor. Juniper berries may be the only spice derived from conifers.

Cedarwood Virginia (Juniperus virginiana) is native to the Eastern USA and Canada. Also known as Red Cedar and or Eastern Red Cedar, it thrives in high altitudes growing to about 100 feet. The aroma is grounding evoking a feeling of vitality and health. This species has been used for numerous issues, including applications for the skin for wounds, skin rashes, hair loss, eczema, acne, warts, fungal skin infections, and hemorrhoids. It can also be rubbed onto joints for rheumatism, and onto the chest for asthma. Eastern red cedar is also used as a fragrance for soaps, perfumes, and cosmetics.

Conventional or organic available Helianthus annuus, the common sunflower, is a large annual forb of the genus Helianthus grown as a crop for its edible oil and edible fruits (sunflower seeds). It grows up to 3m in height with coarsely hairy leaves and stems. The terminal flowers heads are large and showy, up to 5 in. across. A tall, coarse leafy plant with a hairy stem commonly branched in the upper half and bearing several or many flower heads, the central maroon disk surrounded by many bright yellow rays. The plant was first domesticated in the Americas. Wild Helianthus annuus is a widely branched annual plant with many flower heads. The domestic sunflower, however, often possesses only a single large inflorescence (flower head) atop an unbranched stem. The name sunflower may derive from the flower's head's shape, which resembles the sun, or from the false impression that the blooming plant appears to slowly turn its flower towards the sun as the latter moves across the sky on a daily basis. Sunflower seeds were brought to Europe from the Americas in the 16th century, where, along with sunflower oil, they became a widespread cooking ingredient. From there they were introduced to Australia where they are harvested predominantly in Queensland and NSW. However, there is an emerging industry in Western Australia, particularly in the Ord river catchment and in the south-west of the state as a summer rotational crop.

Chia Seed Oil is cold pressed from the seeds and has undergone extensive testing to ensure its high quality. Chia Seed Oil has a light consistency and a subtle nutty aroma. These tiny black seeds are one of the healthiest foods on the planet. They are loaded with antioxidants and omega 3 fatty acids that fight aging, soothe inflammation, reduce acne scars and keep skin radiant and healthy. Omega-3 is a natural part of our skin barrier and helps to lock moisture in and keep irritants out. Our bodies don't produce Omega-3, so topical treatments such as Chia Seed Oil can assist in keeping the skin barrier healthy. Chia Seed Oil is also high in Omega-6 (linoleic acid) which can have anti-inflammatory effects. It also contains antioxidants that can keep skin looking healthy. Fatty acid profile It is characterized by high contents of polyunsaturated fatty acids, Chia Seeds are the richest source of plant-derived mainly α-linolenic acid (ALA), which accounts for approximately 60% all fatty acids. Conventional or organic available The Clementine is a citrus hybrid of mandarin and sweet orange. Clementine Essential Oil is extracted from fruit peel. Oil content in peel varies from 0.3 to 0.9%. Like other citrus oils, Clementine is rich in the cleansing chemical component Limonene. In Ancient times Clementines were referred to as the “crown jewel” of the Mandarin family. The clergyman Pierre Clement is credited with crossing a Mandarin and an Orange. This coupling resulted in a seedless mandarin with loose skin and a smooth and shiny appearance. Clementine is another variety of mandarin like Tangerine. It is sweet and easy to peel. It is grown commercially in Algeria, China, Spain, Turkey, Morocco, Brazil, Egypt, the United States, Iran and Argentina.

Conventional or organic available Thyme oil is typically acquired from the leaves and flowers of Thymus vulgaris via a steam distillation process. The first distillation produces red thyme essential oil, which is a heady, dark oil with a spicy scent. Red thyme oil is often used as a middle note in perfumery. White thyme essential oil is a further distillation of the red thyme. This second distillation process results in a gold to pale yellow oil. This is the most commonly used form of thyme oil. It’s simply referred to as thyme oil or white thyme oil.

Rosalina trees (Melaleuca ericifolia) are a small tree 3 to 8 meters high with a bushy crown and a papery bark, they produce a white flower in abundance in late spring. Commonly known as swamp paperbark and sometimes referred to as Lavender Tea Tree, this plant is native to Australia and grows primarily in coastal regions where it is able to withstand permanently wet soil, salty conditions, and shade. Rosalina trees are found in swamps and wetlands and beside streams from Port Macquarie, in mid north New South Wales to Tasmania. A fresh, lovely floral note of Lavender with a mild Eucalyptus and Tea Tree note, this oil is very calming. Rosalina oil is extracted from the leaves and branchlets of the small tree or bush by traditional steam distillation.

Conventional or organic available Hazelnut oil comes from the nuts of the Hazel tree, the botanical name of which is Corylus americana. Originally native to Europe, it is now grown extensively across the world including America. The nut is a delicacy that is often used in cooking, combined with chocolate. Hazelnut Oil has many benefits as it is considered valuable for facial and body massages. It has a high content of essential fatty acids like linoleic acid. Hazelnut is high in Vitamin E and also contains decent amounts of vitamin B6, folate, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. Hazelnut oil has a very light, pleasing sweet aroma, which is also somewhat nutty. It is slightly heavier than other carrier oils, and is highly moisturizing

This Organic Australian Hemp Seed Oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of organically grown hemp. Hemp seed oil is great for the face, hair and body. The oil can be used in most cosmetic applications such as creams, body butter, massage products, lotions and so on. It can be applied after a shower or bath as when you massage your body with hemp seed oil it will nourish the skin. As it is a carrier oil (also known as base or vegetable oil) it is a great base oil for essential oils –about 5 drops every 10mls average depending on the oils.

Flaxseed oil, also known as Linseed oil, is the expressed oil from the dried ripe seed of the Linseed, Linum usitatissimum L., Linaceae. It contains the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which the body converts into eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which is the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil. Some researchers think flaxseed oil might have some of the same benefits as fish oil. Flaxseed is the richest plant source of the ω-3 fatty acid i.e. α-linolenic acid (ALA) It is low in saturated fatty acids (9 %), moderate in monosaturated fatty acids (18 %), and rich in polyunsaturated fatty acid (73 %). Of all lipids in flaxseed oil, α- linolenic acid is the major fatty acid ranging from 39.00 to 60.42 % followed by oleic, linoleic, palmitic and stearic acids which provides an excellent ω-6:ω-3 fatty acid ratio of approximately 0.3:1. Although flaxseed oil is naturally high in anti-oxidant like tocopherols and beta-carotene, traditional flaxseed oil gets easily oxidized after being extracted and purified.

Conventional or certified organic available Black Seed Oil (Nigella sativa) is also known as Black Cumin, Kalonji, Nigella, Black Coriander, Onion Seed and Roman Coriander. Nigella sativa is a small flowering shrub with purple or white-tinged flowers that grows in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and western Asia. While it may look unsuspecting, the shrub produces fruits that have tiny black seeds. These black seeds have been used in remedies for thousands of years. Archeologists even found black seeds in King Tut’s tomb, emphasizing their importance in history for healing and protection. Black Seeds are also used in cooking to add flavor to breads, curries, and pickles. When eaten, the seeds have a bitter flavor that’s often compared to cumin or oregano. Black seed oil has been shown to have antioxidant properties that can help relieve inflammation inside the body and on the skin.

Conventional or organic available Neroli oil is an essential oil produced from the blossom of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium subsp. amara or Bigaradia). Most of the parts of the bitter orange are valued for their strong but alluring fragrance, and are vital in the fragrance industry. Orange oil comes from the orange peel the leaves are used to make petitgrain oil and the flowers are steam distilled to make neroli (or orange blossom) oil. Neroli oil is widely used in the perfume and fragrance industry. Eau -de -Cologne, the famous perfume from Cologne, Germany, used this oil as its main ingredient. It was named after the 16th century Princess Marie-Anne de La Treemoille of Nerola, Italy, who loved the fragrant orange blossom scent and introduced it to Italy. Neroli oil has a deep, intoxicating mix of citrus and floral aromas and can be pale yellow or coffee-brown in color. Neroli oil is costly to produce. It takes one ton of bitter orange blossoms to make one quart of oil.

Agonis Fragrans is a relatively new oil from Australia. It was first introduced to aromatherapists in 2006. Agonis Fragrans or Coarse Tea Tree is found on the South Coast of Western Australia. The plant is a small shrub with fragrant white foliage. Agonis fragrans belongs to the Myrtaceae family. It is a small lignotuberous shrub growing up to 2.5 meters. The aroma of Agonis Fragrans is clean, refreshing, delicately camphoraceous with a hint of citrus and a balsamic undertone. It blends well with most other essential oils. Agonis Fragrans is a safe, non-toxic essential oil and is safe for use with children and the elderly. Agonis Fragrans essential oil is extracted via steam distillation of the stems and branches.

Conventional or organic available Prickly Pear oil is nutrient packed and has one of the highest levels of Vitamin E of any plant-based source and contains 150 percent more Vitamin E than the long time facial favorite, Argan oil. Vitamin E is a beloved ingredient in skincare, found in moisturizers, facial oils, face masks, and so much more. Originating in Morocco, prickly pear seed oil, also known as 'barbary fig oil is easily absorbed through the skin, it exerts powerful regenerating and restructuring properties. Prickly pear oil rejuvenates mature skin and also gives it a slight lifting effect. Regular use results in the skin staying elastic, smooth and firm, and has a natural shine. Its antioxidant activity is strengthening and it's protective, anti-pollution and anti-stress properties combat skin-aging from the sun. It is exceptionally rich in essential fatty acids which help to fight against dry skin, improves hydration, slows the aging process of the skin and prevents wrinkles.

A highly valued carrier oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil is made by cold pressing the seeds of the pomegranate fruit. It boasts powerful anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-microbial properties and is rich in essential fatty acids and Vitamin E. Originally cultivated around Iran and India, the fruit was brought to Egypt and revered by the Egyptians as early as 1600BC as an important food source and for its medicinal properties. It is now widely grown around the Mediterranean and the Middle East. This oil is red to yellow/golden color with a distinct subtle smell. Pomegranate Seed Oil is extremely nutritious and rich which makes it a great ingredient for skin, hair and body products.

Conventional or organic available A very popular and enriching, deeply moisturizing, versatile carrier oil – Evening Primrose oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the Oenothera biennis plant. This plant is native to North and South America and has beautiful yellow flowers. Evening Primrose is also known as the Night Willow Herb, as its flowers open in the early evening. For centuries, this oil has been used by the Chinese and Native American cultures and in Ayurvedic medicine. Evening Primrose contains beneficial ingredients such as, Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), Linoleic Acid (LA), both part of the Omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids that are very moisturizing and extremely beneficial for the skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties and is soothing for problem and inflamed skin. Evening Primrose is a favorite in skin care products.

Conventional or organic available A balancing and grounding oil, this oil is produced by the steam distillation of the dried seeds of the common carrot. The oil is a yellow or amber color to pale orange/brown and has a woodsy, earthy fragrance. A nourishing oil, it is rich in beta carotene, Vitamins A and E and pro-vitamin A - it is a popular oil, particularly in the realm of skincare.

Peppermint Gum, was initially found around the Blue Mountains and then west through the Great Dividing Range and south along the range into Victoria, as far as Ballarat. In its optimal situation this Eucalypt can reach up to 20 meters in height. The Peppermint Gum (Eucalyptus dives) tree has been harvested and distilled for over 100 years. Early settlers took advantage of the tree leaves for colds, coughs, flu. The oil was a significant source of menthol and thymol. The leaves and branchlets are harvested and steam distilled and the oil has a peppermint, spicy, fresh, invigorating Eucalyptus aroma. Tamanu seed carrier oil is extracted from nuts of Calophyllum tacamahaca which belongs to Caryophyllaceae family. The name TAMANU is a Tahitian word describing specifically the Calophyllum Inophyllum species which grows solely on Tahiti. The Tamanu nuts are only 3 or 4 cm in diameter and grow in small bunches dispersed throughout the tree. The fruits are green at first. Contrary to most other oil producing nuts, the fresh green Tamanu nuts are completely devoid of oil when they first fall from the tree. They need to be exposed to the sun for a few weeks before they turn a brownish color, develop their aromatic odor and achieve their full oil capacity. The pure expressed Tamanu oil which is extracted from the sun-drenched dry nuts is a rich Olive Green color with a characteristic marked odor. It contains a significant resin concentration (over 20%) which gives it its therapeutic properties well known in pharmacy and beauty care.

Sea buckthorn is a thorny shrub found along the Atlantic coast of Europe and throughout Asia. This plant sprouts leaves, fruits and seeds which are all used for traditional medicinal and remedial applications. Sea buckthorn oil is derived from the fruit that grows on this plant. Sea buckthorn oil has become increasingly popular in natural skin care as it contains over 190 nutrients and phytonutrients. This nutritious berry has twelve times the amount of Vitamin C than oranges, just as much Vitamin E as wheat germ and three times more Vitamin A than carrots. Sea buckthorn also contains Omegas 3, 6, 9 and 7, along with many other nutrients and antioxidants. Seabuckthorn oil is composed of seed oil that is rich in essential fatty acids, linoleic and α-linolenic acids, and pulp oil that contains high levels of monounsaturated palmitoleic acid. It is known for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, pain relief, and promotion of regeneration of tissue.

It is known for its high limonene content. The oil is great in skin care and hair products. It is good for skin and useful in combatting acne. It has powerful cleansing properties and is helpful for the hair and scalp. It is also used as an ingredient in perfumes and men’s care products and fragrances. Grapefruit Oil comes in White or Pink. They are simply different varieties of the same plant. The difference is in the color of the fruit, the chemistry is similar and the differences are minimal, but more Pink Grapefruit Oil is produced.

Conventional or organic available A versatile, lightweight carrier oil, Grapeseed Oil is produced from cold-pressing the seeds of the grape – a byproduct of the production of wine. It is jam packed with antioxidants, high amounts of Omega fatty acids and vitamins. It has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Grapeseed Oil is high in Vitamin E and C, this combined with is high levels of Omega fatty acids, mainly Omega 6, it is highly moisturizing and great for skin hydration. It is highly valued as an ingredient in skin care and body care products and is also great in hair care products. Due to having very little odor, it is often a preferred carrier oil for use in the formulation of massage oil and essential oil blends.

Conventional or organic available Argan oil is quickly becoming one of the world's most celebrated carrier oils. A very beloved and popular oil in the cosmetic industry, this beautiful oil is cold pressed from the kernels found inside the fruit of argan trees. Argan oil has been used for over 3500 years for its moisturizing properties for skin and hair and for skin blemishes and to help heal scars in its native Morocco. It is believed to have its origins is a small rural village known as Argana. The Argan tree grows wild in this region of Morocco and thrive in this vast and rugged environment where many other species of plants and animals struggle. With a light, nutty aroma, this oil is very rich in vitamin A and E and monosaturated fatty acids giving it incredible conditioning, moisturizing and anti-aging properties, and helping to make it a valuable ingredient in skin care and hair care.

Conventional or organic available Frankincense Serrata (Boswellia serrata) oil commonly known as Indian Frankincense is steam distilled from tree resin and known for its use in Ayurvedic medicine. The word Frankincense comes from the term “franc encens,” which means quality incense in old French. Frankincense oleo-gum-resin is tapped from Boswellia trees by carefully making a small incision in the bark and allowing the exuded milky resins to harden. Tapping is done 2 to 3 times a year with the final taps producing the best resin, due to its higher aromatic terpenes, sesquiterpenes and diterpenes content. The Frankincense tree grows as a short shrub, to about 3-7 meters (10-23 feet) with an abundance of leaves and blossoms with white or pale pink flowers. F. Serrata is different from F. Carterii with a different odor and leaf, as the name Serrata refers to its serrated leaf. Its natural location is in India through to Pakistan and has been used as incense traditionally. Due to India's higher production volumes of Indian Frankincense Oil (Boswellia serrata), this oil has a more affordable price point compared to different varieties like Somali and Oman/Yemen Frankincense Oils, different varieties called (Boswellia carterii) and (Boswellia sacra).

Conventional or organic available There are several varieties of cedarwood oils. Cedarwood Atlas Oil is a pale yellow to orange/yellow or deep amber/brown in color, with an unusual, slightly camphorous aroma with woody undertones. The oil is obtained by the steam distillation of the wood, with the higher quality oils usually coming from older trees. Cedarwood Atlas is a slow-growing, coniferous evergreen, reaching heights of 33 meters or more that grows mainly in Morocco, North Africa and India. The diameter of the trunks can reach over 1.5 meters. Cedarwood Atlas was believed to have been used extensively by the Egyptians in cosmetics, embalming, perfume and medicine. It is a rich, versatile oil, with a calming aroma.

Conventional or organic available Myrrh is a small tree/shrub with knotted branches, aromatic leaves, and white flowers. Myrrh essential oil is steam distilled from the harvested resin of the tree. The myrrh tree is native to Arabia, northern Africa, South Western Asia and the region around the Red Sea, especially Ethiopia, Somalia and Yemen. Historians believe that myrrh grew in the Tigris and Euphrates valleys, now thought to be the site of the biblical Garden of Eden. Today, most Myrrh is obtained from the Middle East, particularly Iran. Myrrh essential oil is considered a precious oil and has been treasured by almost every civilisation for over four thousand years. Myrrh was used in embalming by the Egyptians and has a long history of use in both traditional Chinese medicine and Indian Ayurvedic practices. In Christianity, Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh were the gifts given to the baby Jesus by the three wise men.
