Conventional or organic available Moringa oil comes from the seeds of the Moringa oliefera, a plant native to the foothills of the Himalayas. An adaptive plant, it is now grown throughout India, Egypt, Africa, Pakistan, Jamaica, Cuba and Hawaii. The plant itself is very drought-resistant plant — which means even without rain, moringa trees keep going strong and survive dry condition. The seeds of a moringa tree have a high oil content, are very nutrient-rich, and are packed with antioxidants. It is a dense light colored oil with an earthy, slightly nutty odor. It has a high levels of fatty acids and nutrients. Because of its almost long list of benefits for the hair, skin, and body, Moringa oil is a popular ingredient in cosmetics and dermatology.

Conventional or certified organic available Marula oil is derived from the Sclerocaya birreabotanicals, better known as the Marula Tree. The Marula Tree which is found in the woodland areas of Southern parts of Africa grows up to 18m tall. The oil is clear, pale, yellow-brown in color and has a pleasant nutty aroma. It is medium rich and silky to the touch. Marula oil contains antioxidants, vitamin C and E, and Omega-9 fatty acids. The generic name (Sclerocarya) is believed to have come from Greek (Sclerocarya) for hard (skleros) and nut (karyon). The Oil is expressed from the sundried nuts from the Yellow fruit of the Marula Tree which is available from December through to April. Marula Oil is rich in oleic acid giving it a very good oxidative stability making it ideal for anti-aging products. It is also highly moisturizing for the skin and hair and is easily absorbed. The fruits of the marula tree are used to make marula beer and a liqueur called Amarula. In South Africa, the tree is protected by law so it is a common sight to see a free-standing tree in a cultivated field. Traditional marriages take place under a Marula Fruit Tree as it is considered a symbol of fertility and a good omen.

Conventional or certified organic available Kukui Nut Oil also known as Candlenut Tree Oil or Kekuna Tree Oil has traditionally been used as a natural moisturizer for centuries in Hawaii. It is cold pressed from the large nuts of the Kukui Nut Tree scientifically called Aleurites moluccanus. Most commonly used as a massage oil it is best used in anti-aging products for it natural antioxidants and minerals For thousands of years, the indigenous people of Hawaii have used this oil in religious ceremonies, paints, varnishes and even candle-making. Conventional or organic available Blue Tansy oil is steam distilled from the yellow flowers buds and aerial parts of the Tanacetum Annuum, a herb native to the Mediterranean. The oil has a high content of chamazulene which gives it its rich blue color. This oil belongs to the same family as the chamomiles and is sometimes referred to as Moroccan Blue Chamomile. Such was its popularity, it was almost harvested out of existence, but has been revived and is being grown in places such as Morocco where it is now thriving. It has been used for skincare for thousands of years Rose Oil Rosa damascena is known as the Queen of Oils, Rose oil is highly sought after for its aroma and powerful topical and emotional benefits. The blooming floral aroma is comforting and Rose oil, used topically, helps promote healthy-looking skin.

Conventional or organic available Lime is indigenous to Southeast Asia, in the Indo-Malaya. The plant was introduced into Asia and Egypt by the merchants of the Middle East in the tenth century. From Saudi Arabia, it was introduced to Africa and reached Europe through the Spanish invaders, in the thirteenth century Christopher Columbus took Limes to America. The British Sailors used Lime to prevent Scurvy. The Early Settlers introduced Lime to Australia in the 19th Century. Lime oil is extracted from the fresh fruit peel by cold expression. Blends well with Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Geranium, Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon, Mandarin, Neroli, Sweet Orange, Rosemary, Rosewood, Tangerine and Ylang-Ylang.

Eucalyptus globulus is the primary source of Eucalyptus oil around the world. Blue Gum (Eucalyptus globulus) belongs to the Myrtaceae family, an evergreen tree native to Australia. The natural distribution of the species includes Tasmania and southern Victoria. They typically grow from 30–55 m (98–180 ft) tall. The leaves are steam distilled to extract eucalyptus oil - one of the world’s most familiar essential oils and is the best known and most used of all eucalyptus oils with its refreshing and distinct aroma. As well as our popular Australian sourced oil, Eucalyptus globulus is also available sourced from China and single distilled from India.

Conventional or organic available Lemon Scented Tea Tree is a tall evergreen shrub to small tree, growing to a maximum of 5 meters that is fast growing and drought hardy. It naturally occurs near sclerophyll forest or rainforest, on sandy or rocky escarpments, on the east coast of Australia. It has simple leaves, 20–40 mm long, with a distinctive lemony aroma. The flowers are white, followed by woody capsules. Lemon Scented Tea Tree Oil has medicinal properties similar to Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) as an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and antiseptic. Its high citral content gives it a nice lemon scent. It also contains Citronellal, Citronellol and Geraniol making it an effective insect repellant. Its potency and pleasant scent makes this native plant a great essential oil in aromatherapy. But because of its high potency, only tiny amounts are necessary. The oil is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs and is a clear colorless to yellow liquid .

Conventional or certified organic available Black Seed Oil (Nigella sativa) is also known as Black Cumin, Kalonji, Nigella, Black Coriander, Onion Seed and Roman Coriander. Nigella sativa is a small flowering shrub with purple or white-tinged flowers that grows in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and western Asia. While it may look unsuspecting, the shrub produces fruits that have tiny black seeds. These black seeds have been used in remedies for thousands of years. Archeologists even found black seeds in King Tut’s tomb, emphasizing their importance in history for healing and protection. Black Seeds are also used in cooking to add flavor to breads, curries, and pickles. When eaten, the seeds have a bitter flavor that’s often compared to cumin or oregano. Black seed oil has been shown to have antioxidant properties that can help relieve inflammation inside the body and on the skin.

The blood orange is an intriguing variety of sweet orange that shares the same botanical name, Citrus sinensis. The blood orange is named as such because its fruit segments are blood red in color. Aromatically, both Sweet Orange Essential Oil and Blood Orange Oil are similar. However, Blood Orange Essential Oil is a bit more tantalizing, bright and tart. As the aromatic and therapeutic properties are similar, Blood Orange Essential Oil can be used in place of Sweet Orange Oil in both aromatic and therapeutic blends. The distinct dark flesh of the Blood Oranges us due to the plentiful presence of a certain kind of antioxidant pigment called anthocyanins.

Camellia Seed Oil, also known as Tea Oil, is a light, rapidly absorbing oil that is pressed from the seeds of Camellia sinensis or Camellia oleifera, the same trees that render the leaves used for green, white and black tea. Camellia Seed Oil is primarily monounsaturated and is said to be rich in anti-oxidants including Vitamin E. Camellia was originally cultivated in Japan and China and later with time, the world started recognizing its benefits. In Japan, camellia has over 900 names. Back then, the leaves of this plant were also very helpful in making tea and it was also a very important culture of China and Japan. The leaves of this plant were also used to make Britain's 'national beverage' tea. Camellia seed oil has some varieties like, camellia sinensis oil, Camellia japonica oil, camellia oleifera oil. All these oils have different names and also different chemical compositions. Camellia seed carrier oil has huge commercial value in China and is used by more than half of the population of China. Camellia seed oil is also very rich in nutrients. It is among the few oils which have nutrients other than fatty acids. When it comes to health, this oil is often compared with olive oil as it has a very similar composition, comprising, unsaturated fatty acids, monounsaturated fatty acids and polyunsaturated acids.

Conventional or organic available Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) , also known as goat nut, deer nut, pignut, wild hazel, quinine nut, coffeeberry, and gray box bush, is native to South-western North America. The plant came to prominence in the late 1970s when scientists found that the liquid wax from the jojoba bean has a strikingly similar structure to the natural wax esters in human skin. The CSIRO introduced the plant to Australia in 1978 and selectively bred certain varieties especially suited to Australian conditions. Commercial plantations are now established across the country, including at Kalannie, Wagin, Geraldton and York in Western Australia. A shrubby bush which usually grows between 3-6 feet, though occasionally taller, the leaves are up to 1 ½” long, thick with a waxy gray-green coloration. The flowers are small with a green-yellow color and contain no petals. The plant is usually dioecious, either male or female, with both sexes needed to produce the fruit. Occasionally there are hermaphrodite plants but this is rare. The plants can live between 100-200 years. While often solitary in growth, jojoba’s can produce ground based shoots and form into thickets.

Conventional or organic available Native to the southern European and Mediterranean regions, the Sage herb was highly valued in both the ancient Greek and Roman societies, which considered it to be sacred. For centuries it has been believed that Sage had the ability to grant a longer life, and in China, it was traditionally used as a remedy for addressing infertility and symptoms of menopause. According to historical records, in some communities, the Sage herb also had culinary applications and was used as a preservative for foods such as meats. In the Middle Ages, Sage earned the nickname “Sage the Savior” for its various treasured properties. For its cleansing and nerve tonic properties, the Lakota Indians nicknamed it “master herb.”

Frankincense Carterii Oil also called Olibanum Oil is the name given to the (Boswellia carterii) variety of Frankincense which is native to and most commonly grown wild in Somalia. Frankincense Carterii Oil (Boswellia carterii) is made from natural, wild, old-growth tree resin and is considered the most valuable and highly prized form of Frankincense oil due to its richness and high levels of therapeutic constituents, over two hundred molecular compounds. It has been an important source of incense in many Middle Eastern and African countries for centuries. It is high in alpha-pinene and other monoterpenes. The aroma of Frankincense Carterii is what most people are familiar with, it has a sweet smooth, relaxing and uplifting aroma and has many therapeutic properties. Indian Frankincense (Boswellia serrata), also highly valued for its different benefits, is produced on a larger scale and is more affordable than (Boswellia carterii) Oil. The Oman/Yemen variety is called (Boswellia sacra).

Conventional or organic available The Almond tree (Prunus dulcis) is a member of the Rosaceae (rose) family, along with many other tree fruits such as peaches, apples, pears, plums, cherries, and apricots. The almond is a small bushy deciduous tree with beautiful pink blossoms and highly prized edible nuts enclosed in a hard green hull. It’s a small to medium sized tree with a spreading, open canopy, usually 10-15 feet in commercial orchards. It is an excellent, self-pollinating almond that bears heavy crops of soft-shelled almonds with a good, sweet flavor. The kernels are broad, full and oval in shape. The tree has an upright form that is a self-pollinating papershell. Almonds require a climate with dry summer/autumns and cool winters. Almond and related species are native to the Mediterranean climate region of the Middle East. The original plantings and beginning of the almond industry in Australia occurred in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. The industry expanded into the South Australian Riverland in the 1960s and then along the Murray River in the 1970s. The Australian almond industry is concentrated in NSW, SA and Victoria with almost 29,000 ha of cultivated almond trees.

The most widely cultivated species, Lavandula angustifolia is often referred to as lavender, and there is a ‘color’ named for the shade of the flowers of this species. Balsam is the resinous exudate (or sap) which forms on certain kinds of trees and shrubs. Balsam (from Latin balsamum gum of the balsam tree, ultimately from Semitic, Aramaic busma, Arabic balsam and Hebrew basam, spice, perfume) owes its name to the biblical Balm of Gilead. Copaiba Oleoresin is a unique, gentle oil that is tree tapped from the Balsam of the Copaiba tree to produce a pure, undiluted oleoresin with absolutely no additives or fillers. Copaiba Balsam resin is extracted from the wild trees which are found mainly in the South American rain forests – particularly in Brazil, Columbia, Peru and Venezuela. It is the further refined to produce the oil. The trees have large branches and can grow up to 18 to 30 meters in height. The resin is harvested by tapping or drilling holes into the trunk of the tree much like tapping maple for syrup. Although this resin is often referred to as balsam, it is not a true balsam but an oleoresin. A single Copaiba tree can provide about 40 liters of oleoresin annually, making it a sustainable rain forest resource that can be harvested without destroying the tree or the forest in which it grows. When tapped, the initial oily resin is clear, thin, and colorless; it thickens and darkens upon contact with air. Commercially sold resins are a thick liquid, with a color that varies from pale yellow to golden light brown. The variety gathered in Venezuela is said to be thicker and darker in color.

Tasmannia lanceolata (syn. Drimys lanceolata), commonly known as the mountain pepper is a shrub native to woodlands and cool temperate rainforest of south-eastern Australia and the mountains of Tasmania. The shrub varies from 2 to 10 m high. This attractive tree has shiny dark green pointed leaves with scarlet stemletts. It has small, waxy, cream flowers which develop into dark charcoal brown pepper berries, only born by the female plants. The small cream or white flowers appear in summer and are followed by black, globose, two-lobed berries 5–8 mm wide, which appear in autumn. There are separate male and female plants. The oil is steam distilled from the fruit of the tree and has an intense peppery background aroma, with spicy, exotic top notes, a hint of cinnamon and the Australian bush.

Conventional or organic available Turmeric (Curcuma longa), also known as Indian Saffron and Indian Yellow Root, is a perennial tropical herb belonging to the ginger (Zingiberaceae) family. Native to India and Southeast Asia this golden spice has been used for thousands of years for culinary, religious and medicinal purposes. It is a staple ingredient in Asian and Middle Eastern cooking and has long been used in Ayurvedic, Siddha and Traditional Chinese Medicine for treating a wide range of ailments. Turmeric essential oil is steam distilled from the ‘cured’ roots (rhizomes). It is yellow in color and has a distinctive, spicy, smoky, woody aroma. Turmeric was used in the ancient Ayurveda and Unani medicine system to treat a large number of health-related problems such as indigestion, common cold, liver ailments, etc. It was also applied to wounds and cuts as it comprises antiseptic and antibacterial properties.

The oil is a yellow or amber color to pale orange/brown and has a woodsy, earthy fragrance. A nourishing oil, it is rich in beta carotene, Vitamins A and E and pro-vitamin A - it is a popular oil, particularly in the realm of skincare.

A highly valued carrier oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil is made by cold pressing the seeds of the pomegranate fruit. It boasts powerful anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-microbial properties and is rich in essential fatty acids and Vitamin E. Originally cultivated around Iran and India, the fruit was brought to Egypt and revered by the Egyptians as early as 1600BC as an important food source and for its medicinal properties. Conventional or organic available Myrrh is a small tree/shrub with knotted branches, aromatic leaves, and white flowers. Myrrh essential oil is steam distilled from the harvested resin of the tree. The myrrh tree is native to Arabia, northern Africa, South Western Asia and the region around the Red Sea, especially Ethiopia, Somalia and Yemen. Historians believe that myrrh grew in the Tigris and Euphrates valleys, now thought to be the site of the biblical Garden of Eden. Today, most Myrrh is obtained from the Middle East, particularly Iran. Myrrh essential oil is considered a precious oil and has been treasured by almost every civilisation for over four thousand years. Cedarwood Atlas Oil is a pale yellow to orange/yellow or deep amber/brown in color, with an unusual, slightly camphorous aroma with woody undertones. The oil is obtained by the steam distillation of the wood, with the higher quality oils usually coming from older trees. Cedarwood Atlas is a slow-growing, coniferous evergreen, reaching heights of 33 meters or more that grows mainly in Morocco, North Africa and India. The diameter of the trunks can reach over 1.5 meters. Cedarwood Atlas was believed to have been used extensively by the Egyptians in cosmetics, embalming, perfume and medicine. It is a rich, versatile oil, with a calming aroma.

Conventional or organic available The olive tree (Olea europaea) is a small species of tree in the family Oleaceae. It is native to the coastal areas of the eastern Mediterranean Basin, Africa and parts of Asia. It is widely naturalized in southern and eastern Australia, particularly in temperate regions.It is most common in south-eastern South Australia, but is also naturalized in south-eastern and central Queensland, in the sub-coastal regions of central and northern New South Wales, in western and central Victoria, in many other parts of South Australia, and in the coastal and sub-coastal districts of south-western Western Australia. The history of Olive Farming in Australia dates back to the early 1800’s. Olives were first planted in groves around Parramatta near Sydney. It is an evergreen tree that grows between 2-12 meters in height and has numerous branches. It is a subtropical broad-leaved evergreen tree with edible fruit. Its leaves, leathery and lance-shaped, are dark green above and silvery on the underside and are paired opposite each other on the twig. The wood is resistant to decay. If the top dies back, a new trunk will often arise from the roots. The olive fruit is classed botanically as a drupe, similar to the peach or plum. Conventional or organic available Neroli oil is an essential oil produced from the blossom of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium subsp. amara or Bigaradia). Most of the parts of the bitter orange are valued for their strong but alluring fragrance, and are vital in the fragrance industry. Orange oil comes from the orange peel the leaves are used to make petitgrain oil and the flowers are steam distilled to make neroli (or orange blossom) oil. Neroli oil is widely used in the perfume and fragrance industry. Eau -de -Cologne, the famous perfume from Cologne, Germany, used this oil as its main ingredient. It was named after the 16th century Princess Marie-Anne de La Treemoille of Nerola, Italy, who loved the fragrant orange blossom scent and introduced it to Italy. Neroli oil has a deep, intoxicating mix of citrus and floral aromas and can be pale yellow or coffee-brown in color. Neroli oil is costly to produce. It takes one ton of bitter orange blossoms to make one quart of oil.

Elemi oil is a valued ingredient in the cosmetic industry, with the oil being popular in skin care for its regenerative properties.

Conventional or organic available The coconut tree (Cocos nucifera) is a member of the palm family .It is often referred to as 'The tree of lifeas it can be used in so many wonderful and versatile ways. Coconut oil used in cosmetics or natural products is often referred to as Fractionated or MCT Coconut Oil. The word Fractionated stands for the process that separates the different types of fat in virgin coconut oil and MCT stands for “Medium Chain Triglycerides”. With MCT/Fractioned Coconut Oil, the Lauric Acid is removed using Hydrolysis and Steam Distillation, leaving only the medium-chain fatty acids, specifically capric and caprylic fatty acids. These 2 medium-chain fatty acids (capric and caprylic fatty acids) are what make up the MCT/Fractionated Coconut Oil in its final state. Virgin Oils always have a strong and distinct smell, richer color and may have a slightly thicker viscosity, whereas MCT oil has no odor and is a very light oil. The Arab conquerors took the Lemon with them around the Mediterranean basin introducing it around AD 1000 and 1200 into Sicily, Spain and North Africa where it quickly adapted to the Mediterranean climate. The fruit was well known in Europe by the middle ages, and Greeks and Romans were advocates of its therapeutic properties. Lemon essential oil reached the height of its fame when the British began using the citrus fruit to counteract the effects of scurvy. It was introduced to Australia by the Early Settlers. It is extracted from the fresh fruit peel by cold expression. Lemon oil blends well with many other essential oils making it a popular oil for herbalists and those who practice the healing art of aromatherapy.

Conventional or organic available Tea Tree oil is a versatile oil distilled from specially selected Melaleuca alternifolia leaves, a member of the myrtle tree family, native to Australia, found in the coastal regions of northern New South Wales and south eastern Queensland, Australia. People have used tea tree oil for thousands of years for the management of a variety of skin ailments such as minor burns, wounds, abrasions and insect bites and stings and it is well-known for its powerful antiseptic properties and ability to treat wounds. Tea tree oil has been long valued for its antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties. But it was only in the 1920s, after Arthur Penfold, an Australian state government chemist, published a series of papers on tea tree oil's antiseptic properties that this oil's benefits became more widely known. Flaxseed oil, also known as Linseed oil, is the expressed oil from the dried ripe seed of the Linseed, Linum usitatissimum L., Linaceae. It contains the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which the body converts into eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which is the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil. Some researchers think flaxseed oil might have some of the same benefits as fish oil. Flaxseed is the richest plant source of the ω-3 fatty acid i.e. α-linolenic acid (ALA) It is low in saturated fatty acids (9 %), moderate in monosaturated fatty acids (18 %), and rich in polyunsaturated fatty acid (73 %). Of all lipids in flaxseed oil, α- linolenic acid is the major fatty acid ranging from 39.00 to 60.42 % followed by oleic, linoleic, palmitic and stearic acids which provides an excellent ω-6:ω-3 fatty acid ratio of approximately 0.3:1. Although flaxseed oil is naturally high in anti-oxidant like tocopherols and beta-carotene, traditional flaxseed oil gets easily oxidized after being extracted and purified.

Tamanu seed carrier oil is extracted from nuts of Calophyllum tacamahaca which belongs to Caryophyllaceae family. The name TAMANU is a Tahitian word describing specifically the Calophyllum Inophyllum species which grows solely on Tahiti. The Tamanu nuts are only 3 or 4 cm in diameter and grow in small bunches dispersed throughout the tree. The fruits are green at first. Contrary to most other oil producing nuts, the fresh green Tamanu nuts are completely devoid of oil when they first fall from the tree. They need to be exposed to the sun for a few weeks before they turn a brownish color, develop their aromatic odor and achieve their full oil capacity. The pure expressed Tamanu oil which is extracted from the sun-drenched dry nuts is a rich Olive Green color with a characteristic marked odor. It contains a significant resin concentration (over 20%) which gives it its therapeutic properties well known in pharmacy and beauty care.
