- With its clean, fresh scent this beautiful Australian oil has a myriad of uses. Steam distilled from the leaves and terminal branches of the Kunzea ambigua. Also known as 'White Cloud’, the Kunzea ambigua is part of the myrtle family and can grow up to 5 meters tall, with small white flowers. The plant is native to Australia, mainly Tasmania, Southern New South Wales and Victoria. With a unique composition, this oil has very high levels of alpha-pinene which contribute to its myriad of properties and its fresh, invigorating aroma. With anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antimicrobial and insecticidal properties is a valued addition to a variety of products.

- History
- Kunzea was traditionally used by Indigenous Australians as an insect repellent and to help combat a wide range of ailments. It is also believed that animals would use the tree to sleep under to gain relief from ticks and parasites.
- Common Uses
Properties:
- Anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibacterial, insecticide With an earthy, balanced aroma this oil has many uses.
- With its calming and anti-inflammatory properties this oil is a useful addition to products to help combat skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. As it is antibacterial and antimicrobial, it is great to use against bacterial infections.
- Kunzea oil is a useful insect repellant.
- This uplifting, invigorating oil with its anti-inflammatory properties, is a valued addition to products targetting muscle pain relief, joint pain and arthritis. With its high levels of alpha pinene and 1,8-cineole, which not only help with its fresh, invigorating smell Kunzea oil is also beneficial in treating respiratory issues. It is also used in bath products and massage blends.
