Conventional or organic available Neroli oil is an essential oil produced from the blossom of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium subsp. amara or Bigaradia). Most of the parts of the bitter orange are valued for their strong but alluring fragrance, and are vital in the fragrance industry. Orange oil comes from the orange peel the leaves are used to make petitgrain oil and the flowers are steam distilled to make neroli (or orange blossom) oil. Neroli oil is widely used in the perfume and fragrance industry. Eau -de -Cologne, the famous perfume from Cologne, Germany, used this oil as its main ingredient. It was named after the 16th century Princess Marie-Anne de La Treemoille of Nerola, Italy, who loved the fragrant orange blossom scent and introduced it to Italy. Neroli oil has a deep, intoxicating mix of citrus and floral aromas and can be pale yellow or coffee-brown in color. Neroli oil is costly to produce. It takes one ton of bitter orange blossoms to make one quart of oil.

    Product Details
Neroli or Orange Blossom essential oil is a wonderfully rich and exotic addition to any aromatherapy blend. The rich fragrance, adds an element of luxury to homemade aromatherapy preparations, combining woody undertones with a delicious orange top note. Neroli essential oil is extracted from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree, native to Asia and warmer regions of Western Europe. Interestingly, the name Neroli interestingly is not related to the plant itself, but, instead, to a 17th Century Italian princess, famous for using orange blossom to fragrance her gloves and bath water. Neroli essential oil is derived from the flowers of the bitter orange tree. There are three oils derived from this same tree—orange oil is derived from the orange peels, Petitgrain oil from the leaves and twigs, and Neroli oil from the flower. Much research has been conducted regarding the aroma of Neroli essential oil. According to research, Neroli oil instills relaxation, uplifts mood, reduces feelings of anxiousness, and promotes overall well-being. Applied topically, Neroli oil can be used to soothe skin and reduce the appearance of blemishes. The interesting thing about the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium) is that it actually produces three distinctly different essential oils. The peel of the nearly ripe fruit yields bitter orange oil while the leaves are the source of petitgrain essential oil. Last but certainly not least, neroli essential oil is steam-distilled from the small, white, waxy flowers of the tree.
