- Lemon Scented Tea Tree is a fast growing, drought hardy evergreen shrub native to Queensland and northern NSW in Australia. The oil is obtained by the steam distillation of the leaves and terminal branches. The oil has a high citral content which gives it its fresh, lemony scent. It also contains citronellal, citronellol and geraniol, making it an effective insect repellent. The oil is antifungal, antioxidant and insecticidal. Its potency and pleasant scent make this native plant a great essential oil in aromatherapy. But because of its high potency, only tiny amounts are necessary.

- Common Uses
- A welcome addition to skin care products particularly those targeting problem skin such as acne. It is used in bath products and soaps, hair products and massage blends.
- Its lemon scent and antiseptic and antifungal properties make it an excellent addition to cleaning and air freshening products.
