Akucell® are water soluble cellulose based polymers (cellulose gums) that boost the appearance and appeal of many foods, including fruit-flavored and protein beverages, bakery goods, dairy, frozen desserts, sauces, noodles, gluten-free and low-fat foods, and more. Cellulose gums perform essential functions in food such as retaining moisture content, reducing fat uptake, adjusting viscosity, stabilizing proteins and achieving the desired mouthfeel. We offer a complete range of cellulose gum grades to help you finely target your perfect food formulation.

Dissolvine M-40 has an assay of min. 81 weight percent. MGDA has three carboxylic groups and, together with the central nitrogen atom, these carboxylic groups provide strong multiple bonds with divalent and trivalent metal ions. The small molecular size enables rapid action at low temperatures and short contact time. The MGDA trisodium salt is fully REACH registered. The excellent low toxicity and low ecotoxicological profile allow for non-dangerous labeling. MGDA-Na3 is listed on EPA’s Safer Chemical Ingredients List in the United States. MDGA is a strong chelate for hard water and transition metal ions. Using MGDA as an ingredient in cleaning formulations improves the descaling and cleaning capabilities. This includes whiteness and color care benefits in laundry and stain removal abilities in automatic dish washing (ADW). Since MGDA is also a strong chelating agent for heavy metal ions, such as Fe and Cu, it enhances product stability and prevents negative effects of transition metals.

DERMACRYL E is an easy-to-use film former for water resistant sunscreen emulsions. It has been developed to provide excellent water resistance performance without the need to heat or neutralize the polymer. DERMACRYL E polymer is designed with an improvement on sun protection performance from Dermacryl AQF polymer.

DERMACRYL C film forming polymer is an innovative film forming polymer technology designed especially for color cosmetics applications. This polymer offers a number of consumer friendly benefits because it forms clear, substantive, flexible films which can improve resistance to wear, enhance water resistance, build volume, and give a soft natural feel. Although substantive, the DERMACRYL C polymer films are easily removed with warm soapy water or standard make-up removers.

DERMACRYL 79 is a hydrophobic, high molecular weight carboxylated acrylic copolymer. DERMACRYL 79 is inherently moisture resistant — the polymer can be used in waterproof sunscreens as well as a variety of creams and lotions. It forms an excellent low-shine film for resistance to abrasion or rub-off and helps maintain active ingredients at the application site. It meets the Credo Clean Standard and the requirements for Ulta Beauty's Conscious Beauty.

Dermacryl X provides market leading water and rub-off resistance for reliable high SPF systems with pleasing esthetics in both inorganic and organic systems delivered from an emulsion base. This polymer also requires no heat or neutralization and can be easily incorporated into emulsion-based sunscreens to help simplify the formulation process.
