To make good walnut flour, the raw materials must be pure and of an excellent quality. We only cold-pressselect nuts. The resulting oil cake is ground into a fine flour. California, Iran, Mexico and Turkey are the world’smain producers of walnuts. Their nuts are processed into high-grade oil and flour in Europe. The walnut harveststarts in September and ends in October.

Nut flours such as walnut flour are especially popular in baking mixtures for bread, biscuits or muffins. During baking, the heat intensifies the nutty aroma of the flour, giving it a flavor very similar to that of toasted walnuts. As a gluten-free alternative to conventional flour, it enhances baked goods, smoothies and porridge. Unfortunately, nut flours on their own do not achieve the same effect as conventional wheat flour does. We recommend combining walnut flour with other types of gluten-free flour.
