Maxlube 450X is a modified polyalkylene glycol which provides extreme pressure lubrication in water reducible synthetic metalworking fluids. Maxlube 450X is completely water soluble at ambient temperatures, but at elevated temperatures Maxlube 400X exhibits inverse water solubility properties which makes it an excellent candidate to provide lubricity at low concentrations in water. Maxlube 450X is stable in hard water up to 1000 ppm and is naturally non-foaming. Maxlube 450X in combination with alkanolamines, non nitrite corrosion inhibitors like Maxhib AB-400 and Maxhib AB-451, biocides and other water soluble additives can produce synthetic coolants that provide exceptional performance. Maxlube 450X contains no chlorine, sulfur, or phosphorous.
