Product Highlights

Ply-Guard PSC8 outperforms both acrylic and polyester urethane coatings when tested in weathering and salt fog cabinets. The color and gloss retention is dramatic with an expected performance life which may exceed 30 years. The use of proper prime coats must be carefully considered due to the long expected life of the finish.

Key Features

Meets or exceeds SSPC Paint 36, Level 3 requirements
Can be used as a clear finish over other coating technologies to enhance color and gloss longevity
Offers excellent abrasion resistance Is easily cleaned
Contains low VOCs or Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs)

Surface Preparation

When applied over an approved primer the surface to be coated shall be absolutely clean (free of contamination). Apply only over properly prepared and primed surfaces. Care must be taken in selection of the primers and surface preparation. Consult with your Polyset Technical Representative for advice regarding approved primers.

Mixing Mix contents of Part A (base component) separately prior to addition of Part B (catalyst). Mix total contents of Part B (catalyst) container into Part A (base) container using slow agitation so as to avoid incorporation of moisture. If Part B (catalyst) container is bulged or the contents are not clear, do not use. Mix only the number of kits that can be applied within a 4 hour period. Never mix components from one manufacturer with those of another.

Application Can be applied by conventional and airless spray, brush, or roller. Do not apply when the surface temperature is less than 5°F (2.8°C) above the dew point.
