Product Safety

POLURENE TPI 27 AE consists of low volatility polyisocyanate and of highly volatile and flammable ethyl acetate. Therefore, we recommend taking the precautions applicable to flammable organic solvents.
When an adhesive based on POLURENE TPI 27 AE is applied by spray, air exhausters must remove vapors formed, in order to avoid any risk of inhalation.

Storage & Handling

Storage and Shelf Life

POLURENE TPI 27 AE must always be kept tightly closed containers. Moisture, including air humidity, must be excluded whenever contents are taken from a container or transferred from one container to another. Small quantities should therefore be taken not from a large container, but from a suitable bottle intended for current use. Apart from the original containers, receptacles consisting of aluminum or glass are particularly suitable for storing POLURENE TPI 27 AE. Packaging made from materials that release alkaline substances are unsuitable. Crystals may form if the product is stored at a low temperature, but they can be dissolved by gentle heating (at room temperature). In sealed drums we guarantee a storage life of six months, provided POLURENE TPI 27 AE is stored under dry and cool condition.
