SST® -3PS is a charcoal gray colored low MW PTFE powder with a particle size mean value of 5 µm. SST® products are Shamrock’s PTFE micropowders that are defined by particle size and distribution, molecular weight, crystallinity, surface area, oil adsorption, powder flow, and color. Made primarily from highly controlled recycled PTFE feedstocks, SST® products are used for their ability to provide slip, nonstick, water repellency, texture, release, rub, and abrasion resistance to surfaces.

Chemical Family: Mica

Recommended Uses & Known Applications

SST® -3PS is recommended in offset and liquid inks. SST® -3PS is also recommended for use in powder, water-based, solvent-based, and UV coatings. The recommended dosage of SST® -3PS in Ink formulations is 0.5-1% of the total formula weight when used with wax. In coatings SST® -3PS is recommended at 1-2% of total formula weight.
