Packaging Information

Normal safety precautions (e.g., gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling STEPSPERSE® 250. Contact with eyes, nose or prolonged contact with skin should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling STEPSPERSE® 250.

Non-Bulk Storage Recommendations: STEPSPERSE®  250 should be stored in closed containers and kept in a cool, dry place away from incompatible materials (see Section 10 of the SDS) When stored in drums at low temperatures, STEPSPERSE® 250 may thicken or solidify. Product may be fluidized by warming with a drum heater or in a steam room and remixed. Drums should be vented prior to heating to avoid excessive pressure build-up. Product temperatures over 130°F (54°C) are not recommended. If material is frozen, it should be heated gently (do not exceed product temperatures over 130°F (54°C)) and stirred to ensure it is homogeneous prior to use.

Bulk Storage Recommendations: STEPSPERSE® 250 should be stored in vessels of 316 stainless steel or glass fiber-reinforced polyester tanks. Many oven-cured phenolic and epoxy/phenolic linings may be used. Elevated storage temperature may be desirable to maintain ease of pumping. Temperatures up to 130°F (54°C) can be maintained without degradation of the product.
