According to European Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 regarding food information to consumers (annex X, 1d), an indication of the date of minimum durability (‘best before’/ ‘used by’ date) is not required for solid sugar such as Icing Sugar.

Südzucker’s Icing Sugars are available in a range of particle sizes. For the Icing Sugars with starch, we use potato or corn as the anticaking agent.

Storage & Handling
- Storage and Shelf Life
Please store our Icing Sugars in a cool dry location (relative humidity max. 65%), preferably between 15°C to 25°C, and away from strong odors. Under these conditions, in the unopened, original packaging, sugar retains its specific properties and can be stored for a virtually unlimited period of time*.
*: icing sugar with starch have a minimum shelf life of 5 years
