Technical Details & Test Data
- Dalsorb® F50 Oil Purification Process
DALSORB® F50 is a fine, white adsorbent powder that is mixed with the cooking oil in a mix tank outside of the fryer (and frying operation). After mixing, the oil and DALSORB® slurry is filtered typically through a pressure filter (inquire with your DALSORB® representative for a review of filter options) where all the DALSORB®, along with the degradation by-products in the oil, are removed through depth filtration.
The filtered oil can be pumped directly back to the fryer or into a treated oil tank which is then used as makeup oil. While the filtration process is typically run as a batch process, the frying operation can still be run continuously if desired. For operations that shutdown each night for sanitation, the filtration is usually performed at the end of the day after the fryer(s) are drained.
The Dallas Group provides technical support, training, and guidance in order to develop a filtration process tailored to your operation that maximizes your oil savings while maintaining product quality and consistency. DALSORB® has been proven to maintain frying oil and finished product quality for more than 20 years and is the global benchmark for oil management.
