Our plastic casing product line is called Nova. It’s extruded from a variety of raw materials thoroughly combined in each layer to provide every single type of Nova casing with its unique properties. Each raw material is melted at an individual extruder to further form a multilayer structure for the required processing performance (mechanical and physical properties). Once formed, it passes through a cooling stage. The cooled casing is then bi-oriented, i.e., in both directions–transverse (TD) and longitudinal, or machine direction (MD)–to align its polymer chains for better properties.

Nova X is a high-performance, multilayer plastic casing designed for all types of cylinder-shaped and molded products. It’s perfect for both manual and automatic production lines. The casing has a five-layer construction for the required shelf life and extremely low weight loss during processing and storage. It’s recommended for hot-stuffed products and cooked products that don’t require smoking or drying.

Nova XT is a stable, stronger oriented plastic casing designed for cylindrical products. It’s ideal for high-expansion products that need to cope with high tension. This casing has a five-layer construction for the desired shelf life and extremely low weight loss during processing and storage. It’s recommended for products that are hanged during processing and require good final-size consistency. The application formulation determines exactly which Nova to use in order to achieve yield and stuff to finished sizing specifications.
