SYNTRAN® AC 5917 is a surfactant-free, multiphase, self-crosslinking acrylic polymer. It has a very fine particle size and is clear in the can, in wet paint and the polymer film exhibits an excellent transparency even at high film thicknesses (400-500 μm wet film). SYNTRAN® AC 5917 is suitable for outdoor and indoor coatings with extremely low water absorption. It shows low-foaming and is easy to formulate. It exhibits the following features and benefits:
  • Good adhesion and wetting of substrates
  • Excellent water resistance
  • Extremely low water absorption
  • Anti-blocking Optimized ratio between flexibility and hardness Low VOC requirements in formulations
  • Very good compatibility with PUD binders and other acrylics with high MFFT to reduce VOC content in formulations
