Rotational molding and lining grades are formulated as free-flowing powders with specific particle morphologies to uniformly coat complex and challenging parts. It is used in rotational lining of components in the Chemical Process Industry (CPI) for fluid handling such as valves, pumps, pipes, fittings, tanks, and other intricate parts.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon® PTFE CD086E is a white free-flowing powder made by coagulating an aqueous dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene. This polymer has a trace quantity of comonomer incorporated in the molecule to modify its crystallinity and the resulting properties. The process of making Fluon® PTFE CD086E does not use ammonium salts of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA).

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon® ETFE C88AXMP-HT is a high-performance melt-processable copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and ethylene that is designed for use in automotive applications. It offers improved thermal stability and performs better at higher temperatures than standard ETFE, with a maximum operating temperature of 200ºC. Its enhanced stress crack resistance, abrasion resistance, and mechanical strength make it suitable for ultra-thin layer insulation in vehicles and aircraft where reducing carbon footprint and increasing fuel efficiency is important.

Fluon® PFA P-62XP has chemical, electrical, and thermal properties almost identical to its close chemical cousin, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), yet can be processed by conventional extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and transfer molding techniques. This unique material can be used over a wide range of temperatures (-200°C to 260°C). It is available as a 1/8 inch pellet.

It is commonly used in general purpose extrusion and injection molding.

Unlike most other ETFE materials, LM-730A has a lower melting point of 225°C (compared to 260°C for most ETFE), improved chemical resistance and thermal stability, enhanced optical clarity, increased flexibility, and a higher limiting oxygen index of 40% (compared to 31% for most ETFE). It can be processed using conventional extrusion and injection molding techniques and is used for general-purpose extrusion and injection molding applications.

It is commonly used for extrusion, transfer, compression, and injection molding, and offers the best resistance to stress cracking among the PFA materials.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon® PTFE CD141E is a white, free-flowing powder made by coagulating an aqueous dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene. The homopolymer CD141E has a medium molecular weight and is not produced using perfluorooctanoic acid ammonium salts (PFOA). This product has been developed for paste extrusion into tapes, tubes, pipe liners, and coated wires.

This versatile material can withstand a wide range of temperatures (-200°C to 260°C) and is available in the form of 1/8 inch pellets. It is commonly used for general-purpose extrusion and injection molding and offers better stress crack resistance compared to P-63P.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon+™ LM-ETFE LH-8000 is a new addition to the LM-ETFE AH Series. This ETFE (tetrafluoroethylene-ethylene copolymer) has a functional group polymerized directly in to the chain backbone, allowing it to adhere to other materials. This resin is ideal for producing multi-layer structures in a one-step process without the need for surface treatment or a separate adhesive layer. LH-8000 offers the lowest melting point of all the AH series resins, yet with the same desirable properties of other ETFEs, including non-stick, excellent processability, and superior chemical resistance.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon® HR-930 Heat Resistant LM-ETFE is a specially designed high-flow, low-melting copolymer of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene. It delivers superior thermal stability when compared to standard ETFE materials. This product can be processed using conventional thermoplastics techniques such as extrusion and injection molding and is available as a 1/8” pellet.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon® ETFE AH-3000L is a semiconductive, modified copolymer of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene. It is used in applications where superior stress-cracking properties and strong adhesion to polyamide polymers, especially nylon 12, are required. This product also exhibits high permeation resistance to many fluids and gasses, especially automotive fuels. It is processed using conventional melt extrusion methods and is available as a 1/8” pellet.

It delivers superior thermal stability when compared to standard ETFE materials. Additionally, it has better stress crack resistance compared to LM-730A.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon+™ PFA EA-2000 is a perfluoro resin which has been functionalized to include an adhesive group within the polymer backbone. The perfluoro backbone gives the material excellent electrical characteristics, and heat and chemical resistance, while the adhesive functionality facilitates adhesion to other materials in a one-step process, without the need for surface treatment or a separate adhesive layer. Example materials include glass cloth, polyimide, or various metals. This grade is semi-commercialized and may be available upon request. This material is supplied as pellets and packaged in 25kg plastic bags.
