ICL Phosphate Specialty - HALOX®
HALOX® 350
Functions:
Corrosion Inhibitor, Flash Rust Inhibitor
Chemical Family:
Organic Acids
End Uses:
Waterborne Coating, Epoxy Coating, 2K (2 component) Coating, Coil Coating
Compatible Polymers & Resins:
Polyurethanes (PU), Epoxies (EP)
Labeling Claims:
VOC-free, Heavy Metal-free
Features:
Improves Adhesion, Low Odor, Corrosion Resistance
HALOX® 350 is a highly active organic corrosion inhibitor with 97–100% solids, specifically designed to prevent flash rust and in-can corrosion while also providing temporary corrosion protection. This product is an effective alternative to toxic nitrite-based flash rust inhibitors. It is in the form of a slightly yellow powder.
ICL Phosphate Specialty - HALOX®
HALOX® SZP-391 JM
Chemical Family:
Phosphosilicates, Strontium & Strontium Compounds, Zinc & Zinc Compounds
Functions:
Pigment, Corrosion Inhibitor
Compatible Polymers & Resins:
Alkyds, Polyvinylidene Chloride (PVDC), Epoxies (EP), Polyesters
HALOX® SZP-391 JM is an efficient and versatile corrosion-inhibiting pigment. It is a white, nonrefractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. HALOX® SZP-391 JM is equally effective in such resins as alkyds (both traditional and high solids), epoxies, latexes, water-reducible alkyds, high acid value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride-based latexes and is recommended for use in a wide variety of resin systems.
ICL Phosphate Specialty - HALOX®
HALOX® Z-PLEX® 111
Functions:
Corrosion Inhibitor, Pigment
Chemical Family:
Phosphates, Zinc & Zinc Compounds
End Uses:
Waterborne Coating, Solventborne Coating, Solventless & High Solids Coating, 2K (2 component) Coating, Latex, Primer
Compatible Polymers & Resins:
Polyvinylidene Chloride (PVDC), Acrylics, Epoxy Esters, Alkyds (Short Oil), Polyesters, Epoxies (EP), Alkyds (Medium Oil), Alkyds (Long Oil), Alkyds
Features:
Corrosion Resistance, High Performance, Cost Effective
HALOX® Z-PLEX 111 is a corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems that is highly versatile and more cost-effective than commercial zinc phosphate. HALOX® Z-PLEX 111 can provide a higher level of corrosion protection than commercial zinc phosphate when used as an equal-weight replacement.
ICL Phosphate Specialty - HALOX®
HALOX® 430 JM
Functions:
Pigment, Corrosion Inhibitor, Adhesion Promoter, Coupling Agent
Chemical Family:
Calcium Salts, Calcium Phosphates
End Uses:
Solventborne Coating, Clearcoat, Powder Coating, Solventless & High Solids Coating, Epoxy Coating, 2K (2 component) Coating, Coil Coating, Latex, Waterborne Coating
Pigment Type:
Inorganic Pigments
Compatible Polymers & Resins:
Polyurethanes (PU), Epoxies (EP)
Labeling Claims:
Zinc-free, Heavy Metal-free, Non-Toxic
Features:
Longer Performance Life, Excellent Dispersibility, Corrosion Resistance, High Gloss
HALOX® 430 JM is a non-toxic, heavy metal-free anti-corrosive pigment designed for use in waterborne and solventborne protective coating systems. HALOX® 430 JM is based on a unique synergy between an ion scavenging and passivation mechanism. It is recommended for use in long-term applications where the use of heavy metals, such as zinc, strontium, barium, molybdenum, and chromate, is of concern.
ICL Phosphate Specialty - HALOX®
HALOX® 630
Functions:
Corrosion Inhibitor
Chemical Family:
Ammonium Salts
End Uses:
Primer, Clearcoat, 2K (2 component) Coating, Solventborne Coating
Compatible Polymers & Resins:
Alkyds, Polyurethanes (PU), Epoxies (EP), Polyesters, Acrylics
Features:
Improves Adhesion
HALOX® 630 is a liquid organic corrosion inhibitor for solvent-borne protective coatings on metal surfaces. It may be used in solventborne clear or pigmented coatings and in systems such as 2-pack epoxy systems, high-solids epoxy esters, alkyds, acrylic resins, and 2 pack polyurethane primers. However, in bake systems, the temperature should not exceed 150°C. It should be noted that yellowing may be observed with reactive isocyanates. HALOX® 630 provides superior corrosion resistance even over poorly prepared surfaces, such as adherent rust or oil contamination.
