Formed in 2019, The Midwest Bioprocessing Center is dedicated to bringing important new bioprocess technologies to market for human health, nutrition, and personal care.
The Company combines proprietary molecular biology, biocatalysis and fermentation technologies to produce important new industrial compounds. MBC offers a growing catalog of products for sale and carries out custom synthesis for customers in pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and nutritional industries.
Chitinor AS is a company in the Seagarden Group, and a Norwegian manufacturer and supplier of high-quality chitosans. Our streamlined factory, build by GMP-principles, is among the first industrial chitosan plants established in the world. Our unique experience and competence ensure chitosans with stable and uniform quality, with an market leading purity.

In our region, the sea and surrounding fjords have been the basis of life for thousands of years, and still are. We are committed to keep our footprint as low as possible, ensuring that the local land, air, and waters are kept as we found it – crisp and clear. As raw materials, we use residue materials (food-grade) from the local shrimp industry, where all our suppliers are MSC-certified. Biova provides 100% US made, water-soluble egg membrane (WSEM) ingredients to the dietary supplement, skin care and pet care industries.
We work with some of the largest egg production facilities in the US to reclaim from the waste stream the source material for our ingredients. Through the removal of the membrane, the remaining eggshell is then easier to process into calcium supplementation for feed and fertilizer.
