SABIC's Specialties Business FLEX NORYL™ WCD883CU resin is a flexible, non-reinforced extrudable blend of Polyphenylene Ether (PPE) + Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE). This UV stabilized material contains non-halogenated flame retardant and performance capable of meeting EN 50265-2-1 requirements. FLEX NORYL™ WCD883CU resin was developed for evaluation in AC cable jacket applications such as HD 21.14 flexible cables that require EU VDE and light color. It has a Shore A Hardness reading of 88 and exhibits superior thermal stability, very low water absorption, good electric properties, and low specific gravity. Processing is typically conducted on standard extrusion equipment, and UL 1581 testing is conducted on 2.0mm wire with 0.12mm X 20 stranded copper conductor. This product does not contain PFAS intentionally added during SHPP’s manufacturing process and are not expected to contain unintentional PFAS impurities. SABIC's Specialties Business XENOY™ FR Resin ENH2900 is an injection molding grade based on a polycarbonate/polybutylene terephthalate (PC/PBT) blend. This grade features non-chlorinated, non-brominated flame retardants, good flow, impact modification, and improved chemical resistance, including enhanced resistance to chemicals. This grade is suitable for various applications, including building and construction for outdoor, lawn, and landscape use, as well as for electrical devices and displays, electrical components, and infrastructure.

SABIC's Specialties Business FLEX NORYL WCA955 resin is a flexible, non-reinforced injection moldable blend of Polyphenylene Ether (PPE) + Styrene Ethylene Butylene Styrene (SEBS) + Polyolefin. This material contains non-halogenated flame retardant and carries a UL94 flame rating of V0 at 6mm. FLEX NORYL WCA955 resin is intended for evaluation in over-molding applications such as plugs, strain reliefs, and connectors. It has a Shore A Hardness reading of 84 and exhibits low specific gravity, very low water absorption, and dimensional stability.

SABIC's Specialties Business SILTEM™ Resin STM1500 is a flexible polyetherimide (PEI)-siloxane copolymer for cable and wire coatings. It is RoHS compliant and suitable for use in the electrical and electronics industries, specifically in electrical components and infrastructure, hydrocarbons and energy, nuclear, industrial defense, electronic material handling, industrial material handling, and mass transportation applications, including aircraft interiors and rail. SABIC's Specialties Business LNP ELCRES EXL7414 is based on Polycarbonate (PC) siloxane copolymer resin. It is a medium flow, non-chlorinated, non-brominated flame retardant opaque grade. It offers excellent low temperature ductility (-40C), extremely thin wall flame retardant capability with UL94 V0 at 0.6mm, and in combination with excellent processability and release with opportunities for shorter cycle times compared to standard Polycarbonate. It is available in wide range of opaque colors and is an excellent candidate for a wide variety of applications such as the battery cover of fast-charging mobile phones that need to be compliant with IEC62368-1.

ELASTOSIL® R 401/70 S is a high-consistency silicone rubber (HCR). Vulcanizates cured with peroxide made from this compound exhibit a unique combination of characteristics. It is noted for its good flexibility, high transparency, and mechanical properties. The compound is easily pigmented with ELASTOSIL® Color Paste PT and has good processing characteristics.

ELASTOSIL® CAT UV is a room-temperature curing silicone rubber (RTV-2) that can be used as an organometallic catalyst for addition-curing two-part silicone rubber grades. This versatile product enables fast UV curing at room temperature while maintaining a long pot life.

SEMICOSIL® 949 UV A/B is a pourable, addition-curing, two-part silicone rubber with low viscosity. This product cures extremely fast when exposed to UV light, resulting in a soft silicone elastomer. SEMICOSIL® 949 UV A has a mixing ratio of 10:1 for its two parts and exhibits low viscosity, making it easy to handle and process. It offers the advantage of extremely fast curing at room temperature after UV activation. The cured elastomer has low hardness (Shore 00). Additionally, SEMICOSIL® 949 UV A contains a UV tracer, providing process control options during application.

  ULTEM™ Resin AUR200G0 is an unreinforced ULTEM recycle based grade. SABIC's Specialties Business SILTEM™ Resin STM1600 is a high-quality, flexible polyetherimide (PEI)-siloxane copolymer specifically designed for wire and cable applications. It offers a halogen-free flame retardant solution according to VDE 0472, as well as low smoke emission and toxicity. This amber-colored, transparent material can be self-colored and easily processed using conventional equipment. It may also be suitable for flexible profiles or injection-molded parts. SABIC's Specialties Business ULTEM™ Resin 1010UCL is an amorphous, transparent polyetherimide (PEI) thermoplastic offering enhanced flow and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217°C. 1010UCL offers the same performance as ULTEM 1010 resin and offers further enhanced cleanliness control for (optical) applications. The natural (uncolored) version of this grade is compliant with RoHS and also with Halogen Free standards as IEC 61249-2-21 and e.g. IPC 4101E. For colored versions, compliance needs to be checked case by case.

SABIC's Specialties Business EXTEM™ Resin XH1015UCL is an unreinforced amorphous thermoplastic polyimide (TPI) resin that offers a high glass transition temperature (Tg) of 267°C. It features excellent mechanical, electrical, and dimensional properties at high temperatures. The material also has good near-IR transparency and a high refractive index, making it an excellent candidate for SMT applications that require injection moldable optical lenses and connectors. The material is RoHS compliant, and the natural, uncolored material is halogen-free according to IEC 61249-2-21, IPC 4101E, and JEDEC JS709B standards. Compliance for colored variants needs to be checked on a case-by-case basis. SABIC's Specialties Business CYCOLOY CX7240 Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (PC/ABS) blend is an injection moldable, medium flow, non chlorinated/brominated flame retardant grade. It has a UL94 V0@.75mm, 5VA@3.0mm and 5VB@1.5mm flame rating. This grade has improved chemical resistance compared to standard PC/ABS blends and is a good candidate for thin wall applications.

SABIC's Specialties Business LNP LUBRICOMP RP004SZ compound is based on Nylon 6/6 resin containing 20% PTFE/silicone. Added features of this grade include: Heat Stabilized, Extrusion grade, Wear Resistant.

This material is RoHS compliant, intrinsically flame retardant without the use of FR modifiers, and offers UL94 V0 at over 0.5 mm. It offers excellent dimensional stability, strength, stiffness, and creep resistance at high temperatures due to its high glass transition temperature of 217°C. This material is opaque and can be custom colored. SABIC offers renewable bio-based solutions certified by ISCC+ for this grade, which are available through differentiated color nomenclature.

SABIC's Specialties Business ULTEM™ Resin 1010R is an unreinforced amorphous polyetherimide (PEI) resin that may offer a high glass transition temperature (Tg of 217°C), improved flow and it contains internal mold release. Features are excellent mechanical, electrical and dimensional properties up to high temperatures. The material may offer very good chemical resistance for an amorphous material and is inherently flame retardant offering UL94 V0 and 5V ratings and aerospace FAR 25.853 compliance. The material is RoHS compliant. ELASTOSIL® R 500/70 OH is a peroxide-cured high-consistency silicone rubber (HCR) for general-purpose applications. This product can be used within a temperature range of -55 °C to +210 °C. The addition of heat stabilizers at service temperatures of more than 180°C is recommended.
