Essential was purchased in late 2011, becoming a majority woman-owned business with an even broader commitment to sustainability and excellence. We moved from our previous location in SE Portland to the historic Industrial District in NW Portland in 2012, and have recently added an additional 15,000sf of adjacent warehouse space to accommodate our growth. Although our facilities are not open to the public due to confidentiality and manufacturing requirements, we remain accessible through our blog and video content, community events (prior to the pandemic), attending and presenting at conferences, and donating to both local and national causes close to our hearts.
