Bernel Ester™ 185 is a highly branched emollient derived from vegetable source alcohol and branched carboxylic acid. It displays unique physical characteristics including low freeze point, low viscosity, good penetrating power, excellent solubility and compatibility in a variety of ingredients such as other esters and mineral and vegetable oils. Bernel Ester™ 185 is a nongreasy, long chain ester exhibiting substantive emolliency. It has an exceptionally low cloud point and, therefore, aids as a cloud and freeze point depressant, emulsion stabilizer and in freeze-in stability. It is reported to be a very mild emollient with a low level of skin and eye irritation as compared to other emollients such as isopropyl myristate. This advantageous quality suggests use in all types of cosmetic preparations recommended for superior skin care, particularly when applied in the vicinity of the eyes. It may also be used as a substitute for mineral oil and as a binder for pressed powder and dispersant for pigment in makeup and eye formulations.

Polyderm™ PPI-CO-H is a polymeric solid emollient where the triol is a hydrogenated castor oil. Builds body and adds viscosity to skin care products. Emulsion stabilization. Adds rigidity to antiperspirant and deodorant sticks. High melting point solid (80°C) for lipsticks and mascaras. Suspending agent.

Foamid™ C can be called the workhorse amide. It finds use in many applications as a thickener, foam builder, foam stabilizer in shampoos, bubble baths, liquid body and hand soaps and bath gelees. Foamid™ C is also used in liquid hand soaps, liquid laundry detergents, floor cleaners, and liquid dishwashing detergents. It can be used as an emulsifier for aliphatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons. These properties suggest applications in waterless hand cleaners, engine shampoos, was strippers and tar removers.

Dermol CTR is a unique natural emollient ester made from the reaction of cetyl alcohol and ricinoleic acid which is derived from castor oil. The unsaturation of the ricinoleic acid combined with the cetyl alcohol results in an ester which has a soft buttery consistency which melts at body temperature. It appears as a solid and is used in skin care and color cosmetics to give products a high gloss/sheen.

Hetester FAO is a branched chain ester that is a suitable alternative to IPM, an electrolyte stabilizer and hardness reducer in stick products.

Foamine C is a cationic emulsifier that imparts lubricity to hair products and when neutralized, enhances substantivity.

Foamid™ G-65 is a specialty surfactant that acts as a excellent thickener, foam builder and stabilizer for anionic and amphoteric surfactants. It is self-emulsifiable and has a 70% minimum amide content. Foamid™ G-65 can be used for making self-emulsfiable solvents from aliphatic, aromatic or chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Dermol 145 is a monohydric alcoholic ester with a low freeze point. It is a non-greasy alternative to mineral oil.

Dermowax PGMS is a specialty wax with a 37º C melt point. It is water and alcohol miscible.
