RheovisĀ® HS 1212 is a rheology modifier. It is an outstanding rheology-control agent for water-based coatings, increasing viscosity in the mid-shear range. The polymer provides the rheology-control effect through extensive swelling of the high-molecular-weight polymer in combination with a hydrophobic component in alkali, in the presence of water. This leads to superior coatings build-up and low spattering, making it ideal for a broad range of matte to semi-gloss interior and exterior coatings.
