Cherry Central Organic Montmorency Red Tart Cherrie, IQF - Diced (FP07-142) are prepared from properly ripened fruit of the red tart cherry variety group Montmorency. Cherries are washed, de-stemmed, sorted, sized, and pitted. The fruit is individually quick frozen, packaged in a polylined box, passed through a metal detector, and stored at 0°F or less. The IQF cherries are removed from the freezer, mechanically diced, conveyed across a shaker screen, sorted, and inspected. The fruit is repackaged and passed through a metal detector before returning to the freezer.
