- AFCONA-2018 is extremely suitable for use in clear and high gloss coatings because of its excellent compatibility properties. It is also suitable for thick, clear coatings applied by conventional spraying where dry film transparency is very important.
- AFCONA-2018 is well-suited for solvent-based wood finishes where foaming is a problem when applied by spraying.
- AFCONA-2018 is especially suitable for the systems listed below when transparency (in-can and dry film) and good defoaming power are important
- Polyurethane coatings for wood (not including acrylic-based systems)
- Acid-cured coatings for wood and etching/wash primers
- NC lacquers for wood
Due to its good compatibility, AFCONA-2018 also can be used in resin manufacturing as a pre-added defoamer, except for acrylic-OH.

- AFCONA-2018 can be incorporated prior to processing. If added subsequently, adequate dispersion must be ensured.
- Addition and Dosage
- 0.1 - 1.0% on total formulation. Under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.30 - 0.50% based on total formulation.

- AFCONA - 2018 should be stored in a cool, dry place. When kept in its original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiration date is indicated on the container.
