Product Features

AFCONA-2723 can be used in pigmented and non-pigmented resin systems such as:

1. unsaturated polyesters (SMC/BMC gel coats and synthetic mortars)
2. two-pack epoxies
3. polyester/melamine heat-cured systems
4. PVC-compounds

In highly pigmented and high viscosity systems, incorporation of a suitable dispersing agent will reduce the viscosity and improve de-aeration. Products such as AFCONA – 5010 are suitable for extender-rich systems, while AFCONA – 4070 and AFCONA – 4047 are suitable for inorganic and organic pigments.

Incorporation

To prevent foam - and bubble-formation, AFCONA-2723 should be added at the beginning of the production process or application into the system. If it is added at the end of the formulation, good dispersion must be ensured.

Addition and Dosage

0.1 -0.5% on total formulation. Under normal conditions, 0.1 - 0.3% based on total formulation is sufficient.

Storage Information

AFCONA-2723 should be stored in a cool, dry place. When kept in its original, unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiration date is indicated on the container.

Note: AFCONA – 2723 will become slightly hazy at temperatures below 5° C. This will not influence the quality or performance of the product.
