- Product Features
- The properties of AFCONA – 3038 and 3037 are very similar. The main difference is that AFCONA – 3037 contains a highly compatible polysiloxane, while AFCONA – 3038 is silicone-free.
- AFCONA – 3038 is more polar and has better solvency power than AFCONA – 3037. Therefore, it has better resin solubility, which promotes better flow. This compensates for its lack of silicone. AFCONA – 3038 is suitable for systems where silicone is not allowed, or which use high curing temperatures, such as coil and can coatings.
In general, AFCONA – 3038 may be used in the same applications as AFCONA – 3037. Therefore, AFCONA – 3038 can be use as:
- An anti-blushing agent for lacquer drying systems like NC and thermoplastic acrylic
- An anti-popping agent in heat-cured paint
- An additive to prevent streaking in chlorinated rubber systems
- An additive to promote flow and leveling
