IMSIL® A-10 is a microcrystalline silica filler that is produced from an inert, naturally occurring alpha quartz with a unique grape-like morphology. Easily wetted and dispersed in either solvent or water-based systems, IMSIL® is selected for its excellent tint retention, durability over prolonged exposure, and resistance to dirt and weathering.

AFCONA 4720 is a 100% active, solvent-free dispersion agent based on a three-block high molecular weight polymer and a group of anchoring agents. Its advanced structure allows for the development of pigment dispersions that have improved compatibility across a wide range of applications.

AFCONA 5504S is a multi-functional additive that can help wet out difficult or contaminated substrates, lower the surface tension of the coating system, improve pigment grind efficiency, and prevent surface defects such as fisheyes, edge crawl, and craters. Furthermore, its great defoaming properties reduce water sensitivity of the final system due to its hydrophobic nature.

Portalum® A 25 is produced from refractory agglomerated super calcined (RASC) bauxite. The main constituent is the mineral corundum. The standardized quality of Portalum® A 25 is guaranteed by means of an ISO 9001-certified quality management plan. Raw materials and production are closely monitored to ensure consistency in chemical composition and grain size.

AFCONA 5209 is an anionic/cationic wetting and dispersing additive used to improve the wetting of pigment surfaces. AFCONA 5209 is the 100% version of AFCONA 5009. It reduces the interfacial tension between pigments or extenders and the vehicle. It stabilizes the pigments through electrical charge repulsion forces.

AFCONA 7201 is recommended for unsaturated polyester, PVC, epoxy, and polyurethane resin systems. It is a moderately strong defoamer, but is not suitable for unpigmented/clear systems, as it may cause in-can haziness. However, this has a negligible effect on final gloss and will not influence other properties of the system.

AFCONA 5290 is a 100% solid dispersant created for high-solid systems and formulations that are facing VOC limitations. It is suitable for all solvent-based systems ranging from low to high polarity, including air-dry alkyd. It has very good pigment stability and performance. It gives good viscosity reduction and high color strength. AFCONA 5290 is provided with almost 100% active ingredient; therefore, it is an excellent dispersant for high-solid coatings like polyurethane, epoxy and UV coatings.

AFCONA 6700 is an anti-gel additive for air- drying alkyds and heat-cured coating systems. In air-drying alkyd paints, the ketoxime in AFCONA 6700 forms a protective layer on the surface of the paint to reduce the oxidation caused by oxygen in the air.

The chemical composition of the raw material and the finished product is closely monitored, and the particle size is kept within a narrow variation. Fine grades of Portaryte® fillers have been specially developed for powder coating applications. They are successfully used as an alternative for fine synthetic blanc fixe in high-gloss applications.

Ti-Pure™ R-960 Coatings is a rutile titanium dioxide pigment manufactured by the chloride process. It is designed for use in applications requiring outstanding chalk resistance, gloss retention, and tint retention. In addition to excellent exterior durability, Ti-Pure™ R-960 provides very good dispersion with excellent hiding power and color acceptance.

AFCONA 2025 is a moderate defoamer with minimal side effects that prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application. It offers a combination of good defoaming and compatibility with most resin systems, and is recommended for medium-viscosity applications applied by spray and brush.

AFCONA 5281 is an effective dispersing agent for organic and carbon black pigments. It stabilizes the pigments through steric hindrance and its high solids content makes it suitable for low VOC coatings applications. AFCONA 5281 can be used as the sole dispersant in pigment concentrates or be combined with other high molecular weight dispersants, such as AFCONA 4071 or AFCONA 4701, in order to optimize compatibility and cost-effectiveness. Furthermore, AFCONA 5281 can also be used as a post-addition in systems to achieve improved pigment stability.

AFCONA 5220 helps to wet and disperse inorganic pigments, mainly TiO2, and extenders. It helps to wet and disperse inorganic pigments, mainly TiO2, and extenders. AFCONA 5220 is special designed as an effective dispersant for TiO2. Therefore, recommended for pure white systems.

AFCONA 6755 is in the same category as AFCONA 6745, however, it is specifically designed for water-based systems. Therefore, it should always be used in combination with one of the AFCONA 4000-series high molecular weight dispersants. The specially modified surface of AFCONA 6755 provides an anchoring spot for the dispersant on the pigment. Thus, it improves the anchoring efficiency of a dispersant, which gives better pigment stability.

It also has great defoaming properties and, due to its hydrophobic nature, reduces the water sensitivity of the final system.

AFCONA 2021 is a silicone-free defoamer with balanced performance for compatibility and defoaming, ideal for use in various coating systems. It can prevent air entrapment during stirring and pumping, and is especially suited for solvent-based coatings where foam formation is an issue when spraying or brushing.

AFCONA 4400 is a high molecular weight polymeric dispersant for deflocculation of all type of pigments. It is an effective polymeric dispersant for stabilizing inorganic and organic pigments. It has very good stability performance, through effective steric hindrance, on all type of pigments.

AFCONA 4403 is a high molecular weight polymeric dispersant for deflocculation of all types of pigments. It is an effective polymeric dispersant for stabilizing inorganic and organic pigments, and has excellent stability performance due to its effective steric hindrance on all types of pigments.

AFCONA 6745 is a synergist additive that is specifically designed for use with phthalocyanine pigments, carbon blacks, and organic violets. It should not be used on its own, but rather in combination with one of the AFCONA 4000-series high molecular weight dispersants.

SYNTHALAT A-TS 1558 is a thermoplastic acrylic resin. It is recommended to use a physically drying sole binder, mainly for plastic and metal substrates with fast drying and good gasoline resistance. It has applications in architectural coatings, automotive OEM coatings, metal coatings, Craft and hobby, and other consumer goods applications.

SYNTHOESTER TS 4309 is a highly flexible, cycloaliphatic, saturated polyester. It is recommended to use aliphatic polyisocyanates in very flexible 2-pack coatings, especially for soft-feeling coatings. The resin can also be used to increase the flexibility of acrylic resins and aliphatic polyesters, like SE 186 HS, for yellowing-resistant top coats. It has applications in industrial coatings, coil coatings, can coatings, metal coatings, and automotive OEM coatings.

SYNTHALAT A 156 HS is a polyisocyanate-curing high-solid acrylic resin. Used with high-solid 2-pack coatings that are air- and oven-drying in combination with polyisocyanates, affording high strength and resistance to chemical attack and weathering, the coatings are suitable in particular for large-capacity vehicles and cars and for industrial coating. It has applications in marine coatings, industrial coatings, metal coatings, industrial maintenance, and marine transportation.

LIOPTAL A 471 is a heat-reactive, high-solids acrylic resin, curable with amino resins or blocked polyisocyanates. Used in combination with blocked polyisocyanates or melamine resins, stoved finishes have high flexibility, color stability, and weathering resistance. It has applications in coil coatings, can coatings, automotive OEM coatings, metal coatings, and industrial coatings.

SYNTHOESTER 215 HS is a hydroxyl group containing, high solid polyester resin. It is recommended to use it in combination with melamine resins and CAB for base coat enamels. It is also used with aliphatic polyisocyanates for air- and oven-drying 2-pack high-solid laquers and fillers with high mechanical properties, high gloss and body, and very good chemical and weather resistance. It has applications in primers and lacquers, marine transportation, wood flooring, industrial maintenance, marine coatings, and automotive OEM coatings.

SYNTHOLUX 271 UA is a radiation-curing, aliphatic urethane acrylate dissolved in a reactive thinner. It is recommended to use it as a coating wood and paper. It can also be used as a sole binder or together with other radiation-curing binders to increase flexibility. It has applications in wood flooring, industrial coatings, furniture coatings, other packaging, and paper applications.

SYNTHALAT A 200 is an acrylic/epoxide resion cross-linked with polyisocyanate. It is used in combination with aliphatic polyisocyanates for air-drying and oven-drying two-component primers with excellent filling properties, quick drying, and good adhesion to steel, aluminum, and zinc, which gives good results in condensed moisture tests and salt spray tests. Wherever there is a requirement for maximum corrosion resistance and adhesion, this type of 2-component primer is used. It has applications in industrial maintenance, primers and lacquers, and metal coatings.

LIOPTAL A 470 is an acrylic resin cross-linked with melamine resin. It is used for stove-drying top coats in combination with melamine resins. It has applications in coil coatings, industrial coatings, automotive EOM coatings, and also in can coatings.

SYNTHALAT TH 30 HS is a short-oil alkyd resin modified with phenolic resin. Air-drying and oven-drying primer coatings for industrial applications such as machinery and steel construction. The relatively low viscosity allows the preparation of primers and topcoat varnishes with significantly higher non-volatile content and good drying properties, also in thicker coating layers. It has applications in marine transportation, industrial maintenance, marine coatings, and wood flooring.

SYNTHOESTER TS 2245 is a siloxane-modified, cycloaliphatic, hydroxyfunctional, high-solid polyester resin. This can be cross-linked with polyisocyanates for high-performance, air- and forced-drying 2-pack top coats. It has applications in automotive OEM coatings, marine coatings, metal coatings, marine transportation, and industrial maintenance.
