Portafill® A25/10 is produced from carefully selected synthetic aluminum hydroxide (ATH). The chemical composition of the raw material and the finished product is closely monitored, and the particle size is kept within a narrow variation. Portafill® A25/10 micronized functional filler is used in thermosetting powder coatings as an alternative to barium sulfate, when the high density is a limitation. In addition, Portafill® A25/10 filler is less prone to the phenomena known as "water spotting" in comparison to barium sulfate.

  • Dirt pick-up resistance: the presence of ATH improve the coating’s resistance to dirt (from the atmosphere, for example).
  • Ease of tinting: due to the combination of refractive index, brightness and color, paints including ATH will give excellent reproducible color results when working with tinting systems.
  • UV resistance: being insensitive to UV radiation, ATH will reduce the degradation of the coating due to UV radiation.
