Dar-Tech Hauthane HD-2120

1 of 45 products in this brand
Dar-Tech Hauthane HD-2120 is a very hard, aliphatic, polyester polyurethane dispersion. It was developed for use on flexible and rigid PVC. This polymer is used in coatings to create hard, tough, hydrolysis-, chemical-, and stain-resistant films that rival the performance of 2-component polyurethane. Superior adhesion to PVC makes it the ideal candidate for automotive interior parts, vinyl furniture, and components.

Chemical Family: Polyester-Polyurethane Hybrid

Suggested Uses
  • HD-2120 was developed for use on flexible and rigid PVC. Coatings containing this polymer form hard, tough, hydrolysis-, chemical- and stain-resistant films, which approach 2-component polyurethane performance levels.
  • Superior adhesion to PVC makes it the ideal candidate for automotive interior parts, vinyl furniture and components.
Application Method & Drying

HD-2120 can be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions for spray, dip or rotogravure applications. It can be thickened with associative thickeners for alternative application methods.

Drying

The addition of coalescing solvent is recommended to achieve optimal film formation with HD-2120. In ambient-cured systems the addition of 5-10% coalescing solvent is suggested. Less coalescing solvent is required in heat-cured systems to attain comparable film properties. Typical drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to optimize film characteristics.
