Dynasylan® HYDROSIL 2926

Dynasylan® HYDROSIL 2926 is an organosilicon compound based on water as the solvent and contains no volatile organic constituents.

• Surface treatment of minerals
• Glass fiber reinforcement
• Primering of glass and metal
• Surface modifier for organic materials

Additive for water-borne polymer systems Depending on the area of application a concentration of active compound of approx. 0.5-5% may be employed. As a consequence, Dynasylan® HYDROSIL 2926 can be simply diluted with distilled water. A 5 wt.-% aqueous solution at pH 4-9 has a pot life of about 1 year.

The following advantages are obtained over conventional organofunctional silanes: Increased product and processing reliability:

• no liberation of flammable organic constituents
• flash point > = 95 °C

Process flexibility:

• processing possible at elevated temperatures and in the vicinity of ignition sources or static charge

Applicational advantage:

• in polymer systems based on water as the solvent

Environmental protection:

• hydrolysis does not result in liberation of volatile organic substances

Dynasylan® HYDROSIL 2926 is supplied in 25 kg PE can, 200 kg drums and 1.000 kg IBC.

• It is recommended to store Dynasylan® HYDROSIL 2926 above 4°C.
• Dynasylan® HYDROSIL 2926 has a shelf life of minimum 12 months from delivery in an originally sealed can, drum or IBC.
