- Typical Application
- REWOCOROS® AL 200 is applied as multifunctional corrosion inhibitor for water miscible lubricants. It is suitable for aluminium alloys as well as for ferrous metals depending on what kind of neutralization agent is used.
- As alkali and ammonium salt (combined with potassium hydroxide or a corresponding amine) it can also be used as extreme pressure (EP), anti-wear (AW) additive and lubricity improver for water miscible lubricants such as metalworking fluids.
- In neat cutting, drawing, and rolling oils REWOCOROS® AL 200 is used in its non-neutralized form as EP/AW additive and lubricity improver.
- Handling and Processing
- Depending on other components (such as surfactants, type of amine) which are present in the lubricant, the required dosage of REWOCOROS® AL 200 can vary. To achieve sufficient corrosion protection properties in water miscible lubricants we recommend a dosage of ≥ 0.1% REWOCOROS® AL 200 related to the water-mixed fluid.
- To improve corrosion protection properties of metalworking fluids, which are applied for aluminium alloys, a combination of REWOCOROS® AL 200 with DGA or DGA/TEA is recommended, whereas a combination with preferably MEA is favorable for the corrosion protection of ferrous metals.

Storage & Handling

- Storage Condition
- REWOCOROS® AL 200 can be stored for at least 1 year at temperatures between 15 and 40°C in original closed containers.
- At storage below 15°C REWOCOROS® AL 200 may change from liquid to solid or semisolid as a result of the product’s setting point (~15°C).
- By warming up the product becomes clear and liquid again and has to be completely homogenized by gentle stirring without affecting the quality.
- Prolonged storage of REWOCOROS® AL 200 may lead to some precipitation and an increase in acid value.
