Genesee Polymers' GP-6 SILICONE FLUID is an amine functional silicone polymer with the following structure where x = 100 and y = 4: The amine-alkyl functionality of GP-6 provides a versatile reaction site for the synthesis of a variety of functional silicone polymers and silicone-organic copolymers. The polar amine groups in GP-6 SILICONE FLUID also demonstrate high affinity for many substrates, suggesting use of GP-6 in textile lubricants, plastic and rubber release and lubrication, and in car polish formulations. GP-6 SILICONE FLUID is compatible with dimethyl silicone fluids, and with aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated solvents.

Genesee Polymers’GP-690 ABA SILICONE POLYOL COPOLYMER is a 100% active non-ionic silicone polyol block copolymer with the following structure: P-690 contains polyoxyethylene blocks and dimethyl silicone polymer blocks, which are joined through non-hydrolyzable silicon to carbon bonds.GP-690 ABA SILICONE POLYOL COPOLYMER is designed to function as an emulsifier, wetting agent and profoaming additive for a variety of applications including: polyurethane foams, hard surface cleaners and polishes, and cosmetic formulations.GP-690 contains a primary hydroxyl group at each end of the molecule, allowing for reaction with isocyanates in polyurethane resin systems. This is expected to improve flow and leveling of polyurethane coatings and impart non-stick characteristics to the cured coatings.In textile applications, GP-690 is suggested as a fiber lubricant where more thermal stability is needed than is provided by organic lubricants such as stearates or mineral oils.GP-690is soluble in lower alcohols (EtOH, IPA) and dispersible in water, along with aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons.

Genesee Polymers' GP-596 is a 28% active epoxy functional silicone polymer in solution. The epoxy functionality in GP-596 allows for rapid cross-linking with standard amine curing agents. Selecting the proper curing agent is dependent on application techniques, pot life requirements, cure conditions and physical properties needed.Cured coatings formed from GP-596exhibit greater elongation, higher impact resistance and more flexibility, than coatings formed from standard bisphenol A type resins. This increased flexibility allows for greater adhesion to coated surfaces, resulting in improved durability.In addition to the tough coating properties of GP-596, the presence of the unique silicone-epoxy copolymer imparts non-stick and rust inhibiting characteristics as well. This strongly suggests applications involving protection of ferrous and nonferrous metals exposed to extreme abrasion conditions, or corrosive atmospheres.GP-596may be formulated with pigments, thickeners, dispersants and other additives as needed to yield finished coatings. The technology of formulating is closely related to standard epoxy resin coatings applications.

Genesee Polymers' GP-58 is a 100% active organic silicone wax copolymer. This unique product is recommended for use as a lubricant, mold release agent and internal lubricant for plastics. When combined with aliphatic solvents, such as mineral spirits, GP-58 forms a dry, colorless film on substrates. This film is stable and will not break down in the presence of water. The lack of any dimethyl silicone removes the problems of orange peel, fisheyes, or similar effects normally associated with dimethyl silicone.

Genesee Polymers' GP-187 SILICONE RESIN SOLUTION is an Isopropyl Alcohol -based solution of Methyl Silicone Resin. The resin cures to a soft, pliable consistency when GP-187SILICONE RESIN SOLUTION is applied to substrates and solvent is allowed to evaporate. Heating at elevated temperatures (100C or higher) accelerates curing reactions, yielding a clear, hard resin film.GP-187 SILICONE RESIN SOLUTION is suggested for use in a variety of applications, including masonry water repellents, leather and fabric treating agents, mold release formulations and as a binder for high temperature application paints and coatings.

Genesee Polymers' GP-422 SILICONE RESIN SOLUTION is a concentrated mixture of a reactive, further curable silicone resin in an octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane carrier. GP-422 forms a continuous solid resin film, when applied to substrates and allowed to air dry. Curing to a solvent resistant coating takes place over a prolonged time period at room temperature, but may be accelerated by heating at 200°C for one hour.GP-422 is suggested for use as a binder in coatings intended for application to substrates exposed to high temperatures, and as a component of masonry water-repellent formulations.

Genesee Polymers' GP-179 SILICONE RESIN is a 100% active ethoxy-functional methyl silicone resin, which is suggested for evaluation, as a reactive intermediate, in the synthesis of silicone-organic copolymers for protective coatings.GP-179 will slowly undergo hydrolysis and condensation to a cured resin film when exposed to atmospheric moisture, providing a water repellent protective coating for wood, masonry and metal substrates.When required, GP-179 SILICONE RESIN may be diluted with aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon solvents, or with dry alcohols, esters or other solvents.
