So were we. When we couldn’t find what we were looking for, we developed it ourselves and Green Dot Bioplastics was born.

Located in the heart of the scenic Kansas Flint Hills, we founded Green Dot Bioplastics in 2011 with a mission to create a new generation of plastics. Green Dot is committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, a blueprint designed to solve our planet’s toughest challenges by 2030. As a company producing sustainable materials, Green Dot is in alignment with most SDGs, though we are more directly aligned with #12 Responsible Consumption and Production, #13 Climate Action, #14 Life Below Water, and #15 Life On Land.

We know that no single bioplastic solution will eliminate the problems of waste, over-reliance on non-renewable resources, or the use of harmful chemicals in manufacturing. However, at Green Dot, we believe a combination of strategies gives product designers and entrepreneurs the flexibility to choose more sustainable plastic materials without sacrificing quality.

Terratek® WC200145 is a proprietary blend of wood flour and biobased polyethylene for injection molding applications. WC200145 contains 30% wood flour and with Braskem GreenPE this formulation is fully biobased.

Terratek® BD3018 resins are a proprietary blend of natural and synthetic biodegradable polymers. The resins are made with ingredients which pass industry standards for composting. By altering the ratio of the natural to synthetic biodegradable polymers, a wide range of properties can be achieved.

Terratek® NF3010 is a proprietary blend of natural fiber and reprocessed polypropylene for injection molding applications. NF3010 contains 30% natural fiber by weight.

Terratek® NF2010 is a proprietary blend of sisal fiber and reprocessed polypropylene for injection molding applications. NF2010 contains 30% sisal fiber by weight.

Terratek® CC200500 is a proprietary blend of corn cob and biobased polyethylene for injection molding applications. CC200500 contains 15% corn cob fiber and with Braskem GreenPE this formulation is fully biobased.

Terratek® SC200041

Terratek® SC50 is a proprietary blend of wheat starch and polypropylene for injection molding applications. SC 50 contains 50% wheat starch by weight, however, a range of properties can be achieved by altering the starch to plastic ratio and by the inclusion or admission of other additives. Formulations containing anywhere from 30% to 65% starch are available upon request.
