Rovene 4002 is a medium-firm, carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion designed to have good freeze-thaw stability and low odor characteristics, when used in trade sales coatings. When properly formulated, coatings based on Rovene 4002 exhibit tight, continuous films providing the following performance advantages: moisture vapor barrier properties, enamel holdout at higher PVC's than conventional latexes, superior cold temperature coalescence, stability to alkaline substrates and ASTM E-96 perm ratings of ~0.5.
