Rovene 4100 is a styrene-butadiene emulsion polymer recommended for use for boxboard coating, in some publication grade papers and in the adhesive industry. Rovene 4100 may be used in adhesive and paper coating applications where FDA clearance is needed. Regulatory Status Detailed FDA 21 CFR compliances are available upon request.

Rovene 6023 is an all acrylic emulsion suggested as a polymer modifier for hydraulic cementitious mixtures for repair, basecoats for EIFS, decorative overlays and tile grouts or mortars. Addition of 5 - 15% (d/d Portland cement) improves flexibility, strength and water resistance. Rovene 6023 in portland cement mixtures results in increased adhesion to most substrates, improved water resistance, increased flexural strength and good resistance to UV light. Rovene 6023 does not contain antifoam. The addition of an effective antifoam is generally required to avoid a high air content in the hydraulic cementitious mixture. Many antifoam products have been found effective at levels of 2.5% wet on wet by mass.

Rovene 6104 is a very soft, film forming vehicle that provides good water and rub resistance for flexographic and gravure inks and overprint varnishes. Rovene 6104 can be used as the film forming component in overprint varnish formulations or as the sole vehicle for inks and overprint varnishes providing good gloss. The emulsion can also be used as the non-skid component in formulations. Because of the low glass transition temperature, Rovene 6104 has good adhesion to treated flexible films. Inks and overprint varnishes formulated with Rovene 6104 can be formulated with graphic arts industry standard products and additives.

Rovene 6121 is a low glass transition temperature styrene-acrylic polymer that offers flexibility during movement of the substrate and water resistance. Rovene 6121 also exhibits excellent tensile strength and maintains elongation properties when compounded with fillers.

Rovene 4180 is a low VOC styrene-butadiene emulsion polymer that provides the ability to compound at high solids and in multiple application areas. It is recommended for use in automobile underbody and protective coatings, landscaping mulch coatings, paper saturation, laminations, water resistance coatings, and specialty nonwoven/textile applications.

Tychem 68710 is an anionic, carboxylated, styrene-butadiene copolymer alkali swellable thickener. This thickener is highly efficient and works in applications including high film build coatings, water proofing membranes, and mastic adhesives. Rovene® 6114 is a low glass transition temperature, acrylic polymer emulsion with improved oil & grease resistance. Tylac 4193 is a soft, flexible styrene-butadiene concrete modifier. It may be used at low add-on to give strength, flexibility and water/ion resistance to cementitious systems. At higher add-on levels, Tylac 4193 provides a flexible cementitious water proofing membrane.

Rovene 6020 is a soft, carboxylated stryene-acrylic copolymer emulsion. The typical films are soft and strong with good water resistance and exhibit good resistance to discoloration. Rovene 6020 has found use in coatings for awnings, boat covers, gloss overprints for fabric, and outdoor furniture upholstery.

Rovene 6133 is a styrene-acrylic emulsion polymer designed to work in a variety of coatings applications including interior, exterior, clear or pigmented. This polymer exhibits excellent water resistance, strength, and adhesion to multiple substrates.

Rovene 4150 is a medium-firm, self-crosslinking, carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion. It can be formulated into carpet and flooring mastics. This versatile polymer is also used in a variety of textile and nonwoven applications. Rovene 4150 offers finished properties of high tensile strength and good water resistance.

Rovene 8305 is a high gel content, non-carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion recommended for flooring adhesives. These adhesives can be formulated to require exceptional uncured shear strength, pH tolerance and water resistance. Rovene 8305 can be greatly extened with oils and fillers in high solids formulations. Compatibility with commerical tackifier resins is excellent, as is filler tolerance. Dry films offer excellent water resistance, adhesion and high shear strength.

Rovene 5044 is a very soft carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion designed for formulation of permanent label and construction adhesives. It is used in the formulation of permanent label and construction adhesives which are high in peel and tack, and thus require a minimum amount of tackifier. Rovene 5044 was designed to give excellent performance and compatibility with a wide variety of tackifiers.

Rovene 5550 is a self crosslinking carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that as a soft, resilient hand with outstanding strength properties. This binder is specially suited for various textile and coating applications. Rovene 5550 imparts excellent water and solvent resistance, excellent tensile strength and good adhesion to a wide variety of fibers. In contrast to conventional styrene-butadiene emulsions, Rovene 5550 has a much faster cure rate. In addition, it can be easily sprayed, is mechanically stable (at pH 8.5 and greater), and is low foaming. Rovene 5550 is used as a primary binder for nonwoven and textile applications in areas such as bonding wet wipes, polishing pads, filters, and facial scrub pads.

Rovene 4305 is a styrene-butadiene emulsion polymer recommended for non-woven and textile applications that require a soft yet strong backcoating. It gives good adhesion to polyester as well as cellulosic substrates. Rovene 4305 offers outstanding water and solvent resistance especially when formulated with external crosslinkers.

Rovene® 6124 is a styrene-acrylic polymer that offers a balance of strength and flexibility with excellent water resistance. Rovene® 6124 maintains excellent tensile strength when compounded with fillers.

Rovene 6103 is a soft, film forming vehicle that provides good water and rub resistance for flexographic and gravure inks and overprint varnishes. Rovene 4049 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a medium hand with above average strength properties. Rovene 4049 is recommended for use in a variety of applications including specialty paper coatings, textile and nonwovens, adhesives and paper lamination where high water and grease resistance films with low moisture vapor transmission is needed. Rovene 4049 can be compounded to high solids using calcium carbonate, clays and alumina trihydrate. Sodium polyacrylic thickeners are commonly used to obtain the required application viscosity. These compounds dry rapidly and impart good tensile strength with excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates.

Rovene 6112 is a hard, film forming, low glycol and VOC vehicle with a moderately low glass transition temperature for flexographic and gravure inks and overprint varnishes. Rovene 6112 exhibits good water and grease resistance. This polymer allows formulating for film integrity and flexibility without adversely affecting the blocking resistance of the inks and overprint varnishes. Inks and overprint varnishes formulated with Rovene 6112 can be easily formulated with graphic arts industry standard products and additives.

Rovene 4009 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a medium hand with above average strength properties. This latex has the ability to be crosslinked with external crosslinking agents. Rovene 4009 can be compounded into highly water and grease resistant paper and board coatings. It exhibits an excellent balance of water resistance, grease and oil resistance, and low moisture vapor transmission. Rovene 4009 is recommended for applications in specialty paper coatings where water, grease and oil resistance is needed.

Rovene 6027 is an all acrylic latex that may be utilized in various applications such as trade paints, concrete coatings, and other coatings requiring exterior durability and low VOC.

Rovene 4021 is a self-crosslinking, carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a firm hand with outstanding strength properties. This latex is especially suited for various nonwoven, textile and performance coating applications. Rovene 4021 is an excellent binder where stiffness with toughness and water resistance is required. It also accepts high filler loads of calcium carbonate, clays and alumina trihydrate and still retains excellent tensile strength. Rovene 4021 has the ability to be crosslinked with external crosslinking agents, which will improve the solvent resistance of treated substrates. Rovene 4021 is recommended for applications in textile and needle-punch backcoatings and performance coatings. This hydrophobic emulsion is also recommended as a primary binder for industrial and household floor care and scrub pads as well as for bonding wet wipes, industrial wipes and filters. Rovene 4021 can also be utilized in performance coatings where adhesion to metal surfaces is needed.

Rovene® 6120 is an all acrylic polymer that offers a balance of properties within elastomeric roof coatings. Rovene 6120 can be formulated to meet or exceed ASTM 6083, Type 1. Rovene® 6120 exhibits adhesion to substrates, balance of stength and flexibility with excellent water resistance.

BarrierPro 4551 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion with excellent strength properties, high resistance to liquid water and water vapor, high blush resistance and excellent adhesion to multiple construction substrates. BarrierPro 4551 has excellent stability with dry-add inorganic fillers and sets quickly into a low tack, high strength, water resistant film. BarrierPro 4551 is also a good base polymer for blending with other BarrierPro products to allow a membrane to be custom tailored to a specific strength and/or flexibility need.

Tykote 1005 is a styrene-butadiene emulsion polymer designed as a base resin for functional barrier coatings. Tykote 1005 provides high strength and pigment compatibility. This low surfactant containing copolymer can be used to compound functional coatings exhibiting superior water and water vapor resistance. BarrierPro 4555 is a styrene-butadiene emulsion polymer of low stiffness. It dries to form a soft but tough film. Its softness makes it excellent for water proofing where films must remain flexible at below-freezing temperatures. Rovene 4044 is an APEO free, very soft styrene-butadiene emulsion designed for formulation of construction adhesives. Rovene 4044 has high peel and tack, and thus requires a minimum amount of tackifier when used in formulated adhesives

Tykote 6152 is a hard film forming styrene-acrylic emulsion designed for oil and grease resistant barrier coatings. This product also provides excellent water and blocking resistance in barrier coating compounds. Tykote 6152 also demonstrates the ability to be applied via all typical methods used to apply barrier coatings, including rod, blade, and flexo or gravure presses.

Ecronova® 6608 is an ambient cure, pure acrylic emulsion that incorporates excellent block and alkaline resistance and extraordinary wet adhesion with minimal water absorption. The product displays early water resistance and very good weathering, as well as a non-yellowing elastic film. This emulsion shows excellent adhesion to difficult substrates such as metals and plastics. This emulsion is APEO free.

Ecronova 6607 is a styrene-acrylic emulsion polymer that is a versatile deco paint binder featuring good adhesion, block resistance, hardness, and water and alkali resistance. These properties make Ecronova 6607 a practical multi-purpose option for gloss and matte, interior and exterior paints.

Rovene 4106 is a carboxylated, styrene-butadiene emulsion that can be used to enhance gloss on coated printing papers and paperboard. It is recommended as a modifier for nonwoven and textile binders to increase strength and/or reduce tack as it has a very stiff or 'boardy' hand. It may also be used as an additive to a paperboard packaging barrier coat to improve stiffness and reduce blocking tendency.

BarrierPro 4550 is a general purpose styrene-butadiene emulsion polymer of medium stiffness. It dries to form a flexible, tough film of high water resistance. BarrierPro 4550 can be compounded with fillers and other additives to form coatings for a variety of applications such as water proofing membranes, specialty paints and sealants.
