- Properties and Applications
METOLAT 394 is a solvent-free dispersing and wetting agent especially designed for transparent iron oxide pigments in aqueous media. It is ideal for the manufacturing of aqueous coating systems based on polymer solutions and / or polymer emulsions (air dry and forced dry, 2K-systems) as well as for the manufacturing of aqueous resin-free pigment concentrates. METOLAT 394 stabilizes dispersed transparent iron oxide pigments and reduces the mill-base viscosity. Gloss, color development and transparency are improved and reflocculation is prevented.
- Recommended Levels and Use
Ladder studies are recommended to determine optimum concentration level. For dosage recommendations for specific pigments and for determination of dispersant demand please consult our additional technical information.
