EDAPLAN® 490 is a VOC-free wetting agent and dispersant for organic and inorganic pigments as well as carbon blacks in aqueous media. It is ideal for the manufacture of flood/float-free aqueous coatings systems (air dry and force dry, 2Ksystems) as well as for the manufacture of aqueous resin-free pigment concentrates. EDAPLAN® 490 stabilizes pigment dispersions and reduces the mill-base viscosity. Gloss, color strength and hiding power are improved and reflocculation is prevented.

MÜNZING’s METOLAT 700 series are APEO-free wetting agents with excellent equilibrium and dynamic surface tension reduction for a wide range of coating and ink applications. The METOLAT 700 wetting agent product range has varying HLBs specifically designed to provide optimal performance based on the customer’s system chemistry and application requirements.

METOLAT 340 is a low foaming non-ionic wetting agent for water-based systems. It improves substrate wetting and leveling by reduction of surface tension. Dynamic surface tensions: 1 % at 1 Hz: 21 mN/m 1 % at 10 Hz: 34 mN/m

EDAPLAN® 918 is a solvent-free dispersing and wetting agent with an active content of 100 %. It is designed to disperse organic pigments, carbon blacks and inorganic pigments for universal use in both, water and solvent based systems, including High Solids. It is ideal for the manufacturing of coatings as well as for the manufacturing of resin free pigment concentrates. EDAPLAN® 918 stabilizes dispersed pigments and reduces mill-base viscosity. Gloss and color development are improved and reflocculation respectively Rub Out is prevented. The product is free of organic solvents.

EDAPLAN LA 452 reduces the surface tension of aqueous systems without increasing the foam formation. Thus substrate wetting, leveling and gloss are improved. EDAPLAN LA 452 is free of silicone and has no adverse effects on recoatability. This additive is compatible with all common resin systems.

METOLAT® P 590 is an APEO free wetting agent in powder form. It is added to dry blends, which are dissolved in water before application. The addition of METOLAT® P 590 results in an accelerated wetting of all solid particles, including sand, cement and fibers. This results in a more homogeneous mixture of the mass and a more uniform aspect of the surface after drying. In pigmented systems METOLAT® P 590 leads to a faster wetting of the pigment surface and prevents reagglomeration.

METOLAT® 368 is a non-ionic, silicone free wetting agent for water-based systems. It improves substrate wetting and leveling. The product is VOC free according to 2004/42/EC.

EDAPLAN LA 413 is suitable for all non-aqueous and water reducible coating systems. It improves slip, scratch resistance and leveling. EDAPLAN LA 413 provides improved surface properties specifically in clear systems. It does not create foam and is resistant to hydrolysis.

EDAPLAN LA 402 is suitable for all aqueous coating and printing ink systems. It is supplied as water insoluble acid and has to be neutralized before use. The polymer is compatible with all common resin systems.

EDAPLAN® LA 414 is suitable for water-based and solvent-based systems. The product provides excellent slip properties and improves leveling and scratch resistance. It does not influence recoatibility. EDAPLAN® LA 414 does not stabilize foam.

Universal dispersing and wetting agent for organic pigments and inorganic pigments for water and solvent based coatings and pigment concentrates

Due to its specific composition METOLAT 285 can be either used as wetting agent or as defoamer. In aqueous, alkaline systems METOLAT 285 is used as wetting agent. It also improves substrate wetting and penetration of coatings into wood. METOLAT 285 is also an oil free and particle free defoamer for solving special foam problems.

METOLAT SC-43 is an APEO-free wetting agent with low foam tendencies suitable for agricultural applications. It is recommended for most common pigments and fillers and is compatible with many emulsion polymers.

METOLAT P 854 is recommended for use in dry mixtures which are to be blended or diluted with water prior to application. The use of METOLAT P 854 significantly improves wetting of pigments and extenders.

METOLAT 1299 is a silicone-free wetting and leveling agent for water based systems. It improves surface wetting and enhances leveling of low viscous systems. It provides the following properties: Effective in hard or soft water up to 100°C; Effective over a wide pH range

METOLAT 288 provides excellent surface wetting without generating foam. The product is free of mineral oil and silicones. METOLAT 288 improves good wetting and increases leveling, especially in low viscosity systems.

EDAPLAN® 480 is a solvent free wetting agent and dispersant for organic and inorganic pigments and extenders in aqueous media. It is ideal for the manufacture of flood/float-free aqueous coatings systems (air dry and force dry, 2K-systems) as well as for the manufacture of aqueous and glycol containing resin-free pigment concentrates. EDAPLAN® 480 stabilizes dispersed pigments and extenders and reduces the mill-base viscosity. Gloss, color strength and hiding power are improved and reflocculation is prevented. Base paints made with EDAPLAN® 480 show very good compatibility on tinting with pigment concentrates.

EDAPLAN® 482 is a solvent free wetting agent and dispersant for organic and inorganic pigments and extenders in aqueous media. It is ideal for the manufacture of flood/float-free aqueous coatings systems (air dry and force dry, 2K-systems) as well as for the manufacture of aqueous and glycol containing resin-free pigment concentrates. EDAPLAN® 482 stabilizes dispersed pigments and extenders and reduces the mill-base viscosity. Gloss, color strength and hiding power are improved and reflocculation is prevented. Base paints made with EDAPLAN® 482 show very good compatibility on tinting with pigment concentrates.

METOLAT 362 is a non-ionic, silicone free wetting agent with low foam tendency for water based printing inks, adhesives, emulsion paints and water borne clear as well as pigmented coatings. METOLAT 362 improves substrate and pigment wetting. It shows a very broad pH stability.

EDAPLAN 494 is a VOC-free wetting agent and dispersant for inorganic and transparent pigments, e.g. iron oxides and titanium dioxides, as well as for laked red azo pigments in aqueous media. It is ideal for the manufacture of flood/float-free aqueous coatings systems (air dry and force dry, 2K systems) as well as for the manufacture of aqueous resin-free pigment concentrates. EDAPLAN 494 stabilizes pigment dispersions and reduces the mill-base viscosity.

METOLAT® 355 is a wetting agent with low foam tendencies, suitable for many aqueous systems. Due to its nonionic character METOLAT® 355 is compatible with many different raw materials with broad pH stability. It provides excellent pigment and substrate wetting. METOLAT® 355 improves pigment compatibility and leveling in emulsion paints and water reducible systems.

METOLAT SC-40 is an APEO-free wetting agent with low foam tendencies suitable for agricultural applications. It is recommended for most common pigments and fillers and is compatible with many emulsion polymers.

METOLAT LA 524 is an universal wetting and dispersing agent. It is recommended for all solvent borne paint and lacquer systems to prevent flocculation and to improve grinding. It is suitable to disperse Bentone™ gelling agents. (Bentone™ is a trademark of Rheox INC.).

EDAPLAN LA 410 is suitable for all non-aqueous coating and printing ink systems. It improves surface properties and can be used in curtain coatings. EDAPLAN LA 410 is recommended for improved scratch resistance and slip of metallic effect lacquers and varnishes. It prevents surface defects like craters and orange peel. EDAPLAN LA 410 provides defoaming and degassing. It does not influence recoatability of the paint film if used at recommended treat levels.

Universal dispersing and wetting agent for inorganic and organic pigments for water and solvent based coatings and pigment concentrates.

EDAPLAN® 917 is a solvent containing dispersing and wetting agent with an active content of 35 %. It is designed to disperse inorganic pigments for universal use in both, water and solvent based systems, including High Solids. It is ideal for the manufacturing of coatings as well as for the manufacturing of resin free pigment concentrates. EDAPLAN® 917 stabilizes dispersed pigments and reduces mill-base viscosity. Gloss and color development are improved and reflocculation respectively Rub Out is prevented. When EDAPLAN® 917 is used, there is no need to adjust the pH value of the grind/pigment concentrate. The product is VOC-free.
