- Eucalyptus kochii, also known as Eucalyptus West Australian Mallee, formally known as Eucalyptus Horistes, is a species of mallee and is endemic to Western Australia. Eucalyptus kochii typically grows to a height of 8 m (26 ft), rarely a tree to 12 m (39 ft), and forms a lignotuber. It has rough, flaky or fibrous, light gray to brown bark on the trunk and larger branches, smooth gray to pink bark on the thinner branches. The leaves of the Eucalyptus kochii has a natural 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol) content of 90 – 95% the highest 1,8-cineole level of all the Eucalyptus’s and there are over 800 species of Eucalyptus’s.

- Common Uses
- Eucalyptus kochii is used in cleaning products, personal care, cough lozenges and hair care. It used for respiratory support, decongestant, immune support, skin support, antimicrobial, antiseptic, air purification, wound cleaning, household cleaning and as an acne anti-inflammatory.
- Caution
- Can cause central nervous system and breathing problems in infants and young children, therefore we recommend it not be applied on or around the face, or used in steaming, of children under 10 years. If using topically on children, on other areas of the body, always use a very low dilution rate. Can be diffused. Use with caution on older children. Oxidized oil may cause irritation, avoid using old oil. Not to be taken. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before using.
