- Rosalina (Melaleuca ericifolia) is also known as Lavender Tea Tree or Swamp Paperbark. It is an evergreen paperbark shrub that can reach up to 9 meters. The oil is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs, and is a relaxing oil with a beautiful and pleasant aroma, packed with therapeutic benefits. Rosalina has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and decongestive properties. Rosalina has been used in traditional bush medicine for thousands of years. It is a soothing oil, gaining popularity as a healer of the mind and the body.

- General Chemical Composition
- The linalool content helps give Rosalina its pleasant aroma. The oil has similar properties to Lavender and Tea Tree.
- Common Uses
- Rosalina oil is antibacterial, antiviral and has decongestive properties.
- It is a great addition to air freshening and purifying products, and cleaning products.
- As it contains linalool and eucalyptol (1,8cineole) it is effective in the treatment of acne, inflamed skin, fungal infections, rashes, insect bites and certain scalp conditions such as dandruff.
- With its decongestive properties, it is useful in products aimed at helping the respiratory system. It is helpful in treating flu like symptoms.
- It is also used in soaps, body care and a variety of other products.
- Caution
- It is recommended to do a skin patch test to check for a possible allergic reaction, before using certain oils in large quantities on the skin.
