- For thousands of years, the rose, with its beautiful aroma, has been the symbol of love. Four products produced from the rose are: Rose Otto Oil, Rose Concrete, Rose Absolute and Rose Water. Rose Otto Essential Oil is produced by the steam distillation of the flowers and petals of the Rosa damascena. Rose Otto oil is a very precious oil – it can take more than 30 roses to produce a drop of oil, there is only a small time of the year that the roses are able to be harvested, and they must be picked early in the morning, which explains the limited supply and high price.
