It is made from 100% pea protein, with varying protein content (57- 77%) to meet the customer needs and providing the required texture and firmness to different food products. VegTein is suitable in the formulation of high protein foods, vegetarian and vegan dishes and developing new generations of meat analogs.

Startex® has outstanding functional properties, such as water binding capacity in cold and warm applications and a good oil binding capacity. Pea starch has a medium-low glycemic index and Startex® has a protein content of about 13%. The demand for functional starches having a clean label is increasing continously.

STARTEX

Peatex® is a natural, gluten-free, clean label and functional ingredient for various food applications. Peatex® is produced from extrusion of pea meal, therefore its chemical composition resembles the natural composition of peas .Peatex® contains about 22% high biological value protein, dietary fiber and features a medium-low glycemic index, all important to keep a healthy nutrition. Peatex® is available in different particle sizes in the form of flakes and powders. It is an excellent binder for meat applications and has been present in the market for several years.

TPP55™ is a clean label texturized pea protein produced from pea protein concentrate, containing 50-55% protein. It is low in calories, carbohydrates and fat, and can be used as a meat extender or meat replacement in several food applications. Nisco developed TPP55™, texturized pea protein concentrate, due to the increasing importance of clean label food ingredients and meatless food formulations in the growing plant-based “meat” industry.
